The Wilderness Awaits for the Pals Paper Arts.....

Hello everyone: I'm having so much fun creating cards with this brand new Stampin Up! set called The Wilderness Awaits , it's images are just so beautifully detailed and very masculine, which are perfect for creating this types of cards for the men in our lives.
The Pals Paper Arts  has a sketch challenge this week, here is the card I made.
I actually had to Google some pictures of Mallard Ducks to be able to more or less, recreate the magnificent colors of their feathers, this is as close as I came to doing that.
To follow the sketch I stamped the beautiful Stampin Up! background stamp Hardwood with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder, cut the strips and added some Candy Dots.  I wanted to make a little sign to "hang" on the fence so I stamped the sentiment from the Wilderness Awaits set and ripped the paper, punched a couple of little holes and grabbed some thread to hang it.
This is the sketch that inspired this card.PPA256kwb Thank you so much for visiting and for your comments, I read each and every word. If you have a question about this card please don't hesitate to ask.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Maria.

Paper: Canson water color paper, CS from my stash.
Inks: Stazon Jet Black, SU write markers in Garden Green, Old Olive, River Rock, Sahara Sand, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and Soft Suede.

We raised two Mallard ducklings as a project one summer for The Nature Museum and this one looks real enough to quack !!

Maria, I am so glad you have found blogging is fun! You have amazing talent. Your blog is quickly filling up with gorgeous stamping. Its the details that you add to your cards that make them so appealing, such as the copper embossing on the Hardwood stamp, the little sign and the gorgeous coloration of the mallard duck. Thanks for playing along with the PPA sketch challenge this week!!
