Aww Nuts!!!!! for Fab Friday.....

Hello Everyone: Well, it's time for a Fab Friday challenge sketch and for me to participate on this challenge for the first time. Here is my card.
Ok, I've been making cards for my grandchildren for many years now and the other day, I realized I d haven't taken any pictures of them so, I decided to ask my grandkids to borrow their cards so I could take pictures, just to have them, you know? all of them gave me their cards and I was so happy to see them and remember the times when I made them.
This card was made for my little granddaughter Anastasia, who broke her little arm (she was only 7!!)  back in August of 2011, at the playground of her school, just one short week after school started, climbing the Monkey Bars during recess. When she fell, she didn't tell her teacher right away that her arm was hurting until the pain was just to much and one of her classmates alerted the teacher that she was crying and her left wrist was very swollen. Her teacher took her immediately to the nurse and they called my daughter to come and get her and take her to the doctor.
Well, when I saw her she looked like a little bird with a broken wing, so that afternoon I started thinking of a card to cheer her up and I remember that I had this very old and retired SU set called "Lots of Boots" and one of the images was of this little robot with a broken arm, so I knew it was going to be perfect for her, what do you think?
Anyway, this is the sketch that inspired this card.
I want to thank you for visiting and for your comments, I read all of them and I appreciate every word. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Till next time, have a great weekend.
Hugs.
Maria.

I haven't seen that robot stamp in so long and love how you used it to help your granddaughter smile as she mended her "broken wing!"

Oh Mary, this set was one of the first sets I bought from you and I love it, it's perfect for someone who is sick and feels awful. I mailed that card the next day, (the kids love to get "happy mail from grandma) and she loved it. She still has the x-rays of her little broken bone, she is a sweetie.
Thank you for visiting.

She was very sad that day, all she kept saying is "I'm not going to be able to do anything....." but she was up and running the next day, she is a trooper.
Thanks for visiting!!

Yup!! she is a fighter, seeing this card again remind me of her total willingness to keep doing what she loved, she never complained and she has her cast in her bedroom and uses it to put flowers or pencils or something, she is just so sweet.

Patti, all of my grandkids have every single card I've made for them through the years, and that really amazes me. Vanessa, who is 17, made me promise to just take the pictures and return her cards, I told her not to worry, they are precious.
Thank you for visiting.

Thank you for visiting Brian, I always love to find your sweet comments here. This set is so adorable and this image was just perfect for my little Annie, because it was her left arm that she broke.

What a cute, funny image! if that doesn't bring a smile to someone with a broken arm I don't know what will. Cute ribbon to go along with the more "girl" theme! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!

Thank you for visiting Barbie, I knew this image was going to be just perfect to cheer my little granddaughter, she didn't like the fact she couldn't get on the Monkey Bars for a while.

Maria, I not only love your card but the meaningful story you included with it. It's so encouraging to know how much the card you made was treasured by your Granddaughter, isn't it? How she kept it all these years?
Well I think it's beautiful too. Thanks for joining in to play at Fab Friday!
