Calla Lilies for Freshly Made Sketches #218.....

Hello everyone: I have a card to share with you today using  the very simple and elegant sketch from Kim Singdahlsen over at the Freshly Made Sketches , here is my card.
This image is from a retired Flourishes set called "Calla Lilies" this images are so beautiful.  I wanted to color them the right way so I went to Google and I got an eye full, this lovely flowers come in all kinds of colors, from pinks to deep purples, soft yellows and oranges, reds and white, some with deep colored centers and white on the outside, a marvel of Nature and a delight to see.
I stamped this image onto a piece of Canson water color paper with Stazon Jet Black ink and colored it with SU markers in Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and More Mustard.
The pictures of this flowers showed a bit of texture on the cup so I added some Prismacolor pencil #995 in Mulberry. Here is a picture of the actual flower.

I just love this color. Here is a close up of my flowers.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the same set in gold, this is the only "bling" I'm adding to this card, the little linen tread bow just adds a bit of texture to the design.  The two brackets tied with the bow are from a Spellbinders labels set.

Here is a picture of the finished inside, the sentiment is from the set and the butterfly is from a retired SU set called Nature's Walk.

This is the sketch that inspired this card.

Thank you for stopping by, until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

I love the elegant labels and twine that you used across the top of the card. The rich greens and the neutrals are a wonderful backdrop to the calla lilies. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

I agree with Sonny on the beautiful color. I can imagine little fairies fluttering in and out of the lilies playing hide and seek.

Thank you Kim, I wanted to keep the colors of the background a bit muted so the flowers can stand out.
