Simply Tulips.....

Hello everyone: I'm here to share a card with you showing some of the flowers that signal the arrival of Spring, although up here, we have SNOW!!! on the ground, sheeesh!! what's up with that, Mother Nature? so my Daffodils and Tulips are probably shivering and all the little critters are wondering what is going on but, I guess all of us who live up North will just have to grin and bare it.
Here is my card.

I used the beautiful Tulips from Power Poppy's Dynamic Duos , stamped them onto Canson water color paper and colored them with only 3 SU markers, Elegant Eggplant, Real Red and Always Artichoke and the aqua painter. The pattern paper is from Lili of the Valley, the butterfly is from SU Papillion Potpourri, the ribbon is from my bottomless stash.
Here is a close up of this pretty flowers.

And here is the picture of the finished inside.

I'm submitting this card to the following challenges.

The Power Poppy "Pick 3 Challenge" where we are to pick only 3 markers to color our image, I picked Elegant Egg Plant, Always Artichoke and Real Red.

Thank you Sonny, I'm so glad you asked what color markers I used, I forgot to mention that, sheeesh!! I went back and corrected that my friend, I used Elegant Egg Plant, Real Red and Always Artichoke.
55 feels warm to me, LOL!! feed those Hummingbirds, I know you always do, I don't see them up here yet.

Maria this is absolutely stunning.I love your coloring. There's a challenge going on at Power Poppy right now, that only uses three markers. It looks like you've done that here. I love your choice of colors and these beautiful frilly tulips are just gorgeous. Great job!

Thank you for reminding me Bobbi, I'm taking a leap of faith and just submitted my card to Power Poppy, the thing is that I didn't pick the colors at random so I hope it's ok with the DT. I just liked the colors together because that is the colors of my tulips by the entrance door.

Amazing coloring with only three colors! You've managed to provide shade & highlight like a Rock Star! I love this set from Power Poppy! oh and I love your little butterfly, I don't have that and it adds such a pretty touch!

Thank you Patti, it was surprisingly easy, for the shading, I just waited for the last layer to dry and then applied more ink. For the lighter areas, I just went with a damp brush and removed the ink with a paper towel.
