Since this challenge calls for a one layer card I cut an 4"x11" card base from Ninah Solar White card stock and folded it at 5 1/2 then, stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them with my Prismacolor pencils.
Now, I colored Santa's mittens last, I honestly did't know if they should be white, black or red, I actually Google this question and I got several responses for the colors, mostly favored red mittens so I colored them red. Now, some mentioned Santa's toy sack and said that it could be either red, green or blue so, I chose red. It's amazing the stuff you find out just by Google-ing!!
I want to thank you for stopping by, I appreciate your comments and will answer your questions, should you have any.
Until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.
Wow you nailed this one layer card! Just awesome! And looks like you could mass produce a few of these in fairly short order! Glad the sentiment is in gold embossing powder, makes this a very handsome card!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patti, this is fairly easy to color, I remember making 52 of this little Santa images for the calendars last year!! Now, that was mass production in a grand scale!!!
ReplyDeleteThe embossed sentiment in gold was really a great choice, I'm glad I didn't stamp it in either black or red.
oh what fun! love your Santa!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary, I think this image is just so darling. When I was a little kid, I always wondered how Santa went down chimneys with all the toys and that thick coat. We didn't have a chimney so I figured he just came though the door, LOL!!
DeleteYou're a woman after my own heart! I'm always Googling for answers. LOL, I know they aren't always correct but they work great! Love your Santa and I think you've colored him perfectly. Love that embossed sentiment too.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Bonnie, thank goodness for Google, most times you get your answer.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by.
Hugs.
Beautifully done, Maria! I love the way the scored lines frame the snow globe and that embossed sentiment is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa, I felt the snow globe needed some ''boundries".
