Hello everyone: Beach days are soon approaching and we can't wait to go to have a picnic with our grandchildren and take a plunge in the cool waters of Lake Michigan.
I have a card today that is a little snippet of what a fabulous beach day could look like, relaxing, sunny, warm.
This fun image is from a Power Poppy set called Best Day Ever, I stamped it on watercolor paper and colored it with SU markers adding a bit of shading with my Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from the set, the little shells from a very old Flourishes set called "Seaside Life" (2009), stamped, colored and fussy cut. The little flip flops are punched out with a punch from EK Success I got at the bargain bin at my craft store also a very long time ago and now is sadly discontinued.
The pattern papers are from my stash.

I love this set and you made it so pretty! The way you colored around the image to suggest a sandy beach is fantastically realistic. Cute little flip flops. I wish our ocean beaches were warm enough to lounge on, but I'll settle for a mountain lake or a woodland stream... anything on a beautiful summer day!
