It's a Parade!!!!!

Hello everyone: I've been wanting to use this solid stamp for a while and now, here's my chance. I love this stamp set and this image is great. I will link this card to several challenges at the end of this post. Here's my card.

I stamped this images from a retired Flourishes set called "Patriotism on Parade" onto a piece of white card stock with Versafine Onix Black ink several times to get good coverage then, I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, the fire works are from a set by The Ton called "Pyrotechnics" and are heat embossed with gold glitter embossing powder.

Just for Fun!!!!!

Hello everyone: Summer is coming to an end soon, we have a few more weeks until September 22nd. when Fall officially arrives, I honestly can't wait for the show of spectacular colors this Season brings for all of us up here in the Midwest but in the mid time, we are enjoying warm temperatures and we still can have cookouts and beautiful evenings by the fire pit with the grandkids making S'mores and eating burnt out hot dogs, luckily there are not a lot of mosquitoes which is always good.
Here is a card that will sure make you wish you could eat one of this delicious concoctions right about now!!

This image is from a retired Flourishes set called "S'more Fun" and it make you want to go camping. I stamped it onto a die cut piece of Canson water color paper with Stazon Jet Black ink and colored it with SU markers and the aqua painters.  The die cut piece is from a set of dies by Tim Holtz called "Mixed Media Dies". The sentiment is from the same set.

Pumpkin Fest!!!!!

Hello everyone: I'm super late today with my post, one of the filters (protein skimmer) on my 75 gal. marine tank was acting up, making this weird noise and vibrating a little so I had to check it out, disassemble it and clean some sand that got into the propeller, then put it back together and now it's working fine.
Anywho, I have a fun card to share with you for one of my favorite times of the year.....HALLOWEEN!!!!!, aside from Christmas, I love decorating outside and inside, hoping the weather will cooperate so I wont be stuck with tons of candy, you know how it is, right. So here is this card that I will link up to a few challenges listed at the end of this post.

Aren't this pumpkins a riot? I'm not entirely sure if they are from Penny Black or somewhere else, I neglected to save the packaging so I apologize for not giving the name of this cutie pies.

I stamped them onto a piece of Canson water color paper with Stazon black ink and colored them with SU markers, the bat die cut is from Memory Box (I think) and the sentiments are from a bunch of sets that I have, stamped and punched out with the retired SU Word Window punch.

The pattern paper is from my Halloween stash.

As always, I finish the inside of my cards, it saves me a ton of time when I sent them out to family and friends. Here is a picture of the inside of this card.

This images are from the retired SU set called "Dark and Dreary", I love all of this images, this gate is really spooky.  I stamped them using SU markers, applying them to the stamp and blowing a bit on it, then I sponged a bit of black ink to make it look a bit more dreary.

Hello everyone: I had a bit of time yesterday afternoon to finish this card that I started in the morning, so I'm sharing it with you today and I will link it up to a few challenges listed at the end of this post. Here is my card.

This image is from Kraftin Kimmie and unfortunately, I think it's retired, I looked for it but couldn't find it a their store. I just love this little girl with what appears to be, her pet Dragon. 

I stamped the image onto Canson water color paper with Stazon black ink and applied a base color to her dress and the Dragon with SU markers but then, I finished it with my Prismacolor pencils. 

The sentiment comes with this stamp, I just cut it in half, the other half says, "Missing You".

The golden Japanese symbol for Love is from a set of Oriental images but I have no idea where it came from, long ago when I bought it, I didn't think of saving the package on a lot of my stamps, I never thought I was going to need that, BIG mistake, sheeesh!!

The sentiment is from a retired Flourishes set called "Lots of Thought" and it's stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink then die cut with one of the dies from a Spellbinders set called "Oval Regalia".

The bamboo image is from that same Oriental stamp set.

Happy 43rd!!!!!

Hello everyone: It's a new week and challenge over at SHOPPING OUR STASH, this time we are all about NUMBERS, we want to see them on your creations, there is a lot of possibilities with this challenge and today, I have a very special card to share with you with some very sweet numbers. Why are this numbers special you might ask??? well, it's because next September 1st. my hubby and I are celebrating 43 years of marriage, they have been good years, fun years, not without their troubles, I'll be honest but, in the end, we are still here, together and happy.
So here is my card, one that I will slip into his lunch box on that day and I know he will find it and be all mushy and smiling.

When I was thinking about this challenge I realized I had no really good stamps with numbers, I also don't have any dies so I had no idea how to go about making my card. Then, it hit me, I had a Cricut machine that I bought like a million years ago, when they first came out in the market, it came with two cartridges and one of them had numbers. I stopped using this machine because I like punches and dies better but, in this situation, it save me.  I cut the numbers with red foil paper and used the retired SU stamp set called "Valentine Defined" that came out back in 2011 to add the heart banner at the top and the sentiment at the bottom. The "Happy" word is from a set of sentiments from Penny Black but I'm not completely sure about this.

Something Exotic is the theme.....

Hello everyone: I have a card to share with you that I will enter in several challenges listed at the end of this post, it took me a bit of time to get the coloring right, I actually had to rely on a Google picture of this magnificent flowers to pick and blend the colors. Hope you like it.

The theme over at "Less is More" is EXOTIC, when I read this word my mind immediately turn to this beautiful Orchid image from a retired Flourishes set called "Orchids".

I stamped it onto a die cut piece of Strathmore multi media water color paper with Versafine black ink and colored it with both SU markers and Prismacolor pencils. I didn't add anything to this image but I did heat embossed the word Orchids.

The lighting is not very good, it's a bit gray this morning and my lamp is horrible, (need to get me a good one) so I tilted the card a bit so the word can catch a bit of the light.

The die cut is from a Spellbinders set called Romantic Rectangles.

Simply CAT!!!!!

Hello everyone: I have a quick CAS (I think) card to share with you, that I will link to a few challenges at the end of this post, in the mean time, here is my card.

This fabulous cat silhouette is from Katzelkraft and the set is called Les Furieux, for all of us who love cats, this images speak louder than words.

I stamped the image onto a Ninah Solar White card base with Versafine Onix Black ink several times to get a really dark image and then, heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, I did the same with the word CAT, I honestly think this is as CAS as I can make it, I resisted the temptation to add a bit of something but I really didn't think it needed anything.

Here is the picture of the inside of my card.

As a previous cat owner of 5 kitties when our daughters were little, I know how frustrating and, at the same time, enchanting cats can be, our furniture got all scratched and full of hair but sharing our home with them was never dull.  They can be playful but only on their terms, they will come and lay on your lap but only if they feel like it or need a good scratch behind the ears. This card could have been given to my dear hubby back then, who was totally outnumbered by 6 females, our two daughters, myself and the 3 female kitties, to 3 males, himself and the two tomcats, LOL!!

The sentiment was done with a very old alphabet set, the kitty paw with punches (done to cover a darn smudge, grrrr!!), the little ball of yarn is from an old Flourishes set called "Stitched for You"
