Words to Live By......

Hello everyone: I'm late posting this simple card, got caught up with the usual "fun" activities at home.....meaning laundry, prepping my meals for the next 4-5 days, separating, vacuum packing, labeling, etc.
So, here's my card.

The sentiment is by Hampton Art, very old, I heat embossed it in gold.
I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the front panel and I sponged the musical notes with some distress inks.
The little charms are ancient!!! They were silver so I painted them gold.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from a retired SU set called "Whimsical Words".

I'm playing along with the following challenges.

Haunting you!!!!!

Hello dear friends: How's your Halloween card stash? Well, mine is in dire need of some new cards so, here's this one that might inspire you to get your spooky stamps out of that drawer into the light.

This ghostly and adorable image is from Kraftin Kimmie, I haven't used these stamps in a while so I'm happy I decided to use this one for my card.
The spooky background is done with a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and it's called Aspen Trees, I sponge it with Memento black ink.
The Ghostly Girl is "Hattie" from Kraftin Kimmie and it's unfortunately retired, but she is a cutie.
I stamped her on a piece of Drawing Paper because I needed to fussy cut it to make her look like she's actually floating around the trees.  I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and then, fussy cut it, I put a bit of painter's tape behind the delicate parts to give the paper a bit more sturdiness, this really works.

The little bats are from My Favorite Things and the sentiment I think it's from my stash of unknowns, very old too.

Twofer Critter Challenge.....

Hello everyone: I'm back with a card created with one of my favorite subjects....."Critters", love them all, great and small.
My card features a few stamps from Purple Onion and the great designer Stacey Yacula, her little critters are among the cutest ever!!

*************************************************

Both cards are created with Shadow, super cute little owl, on this card I perched him on a Lamp Post and gave him a hat from Katzelkraft Accessories.  The sign is also from Purple Onion and the "Peace" sentiment from Power Poppy "Merry Littles".  I colored all the images with Prismacolor pencils.
The snow and snowflakes are die-cut and punched with glimmer paper.

The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called GLISTENING PAPERWHITES, the little tree from MERRY LITTLES.

My Twofer card.

Same little owl but on this card I added some fluttering bats from a retired (sadly) by Hero Arts, I'm so glad I grabbed it when I did.
I created a mask for the Owl and the lamp so I could sponge the sky and stamp the bats. I drew by hand his little cape, the witch's hat is from a retired SU set called "Tee-Hee-Hee", (2014). I stamped it with Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed it then, I fussy cut it.
The little houses in the distance are drawn from a retired SU die set called "Sleigh Ride", I just die cut the houses and traced around them twice.
All the images are colored with Prismacolor pencils, the sky and moon are sponged with Distress Inks.

The sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo.

A Little Reminder.....

Hello everyone: Well, we are halfway through September already, the Holidays are around the corner and I'm happy to say I have a good stash of cards ready to be mailed soon to friends and family.
But today I have another card created with the other flowers from the beautiful
"Painted Petals" set from My Favorite Things.
We have 2 fabulous prizes of $25.00 to give away this month generously provided by our amazing sponsor MY FAVORITE THINGS.
All of us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE, including our fantastic Guest Designer Michele Ferguson from "I Card Everyone" are using their products on our cards.

I stamped the flowers and leaves (on green card stock) with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with white embossing powder, I sponged some pink and blue on the flowers and then, fussy cut all of them.
I embossed a piece of vellum with the "Quilted Top" embossing folder, (SU retired).  The die-cut sentiment is from my stash of dies that have no name, sheeeesh!! I apologize.

The border is from SU "Delicate Details" (retired), the sentiment is from SU "Whimsical Words) (retired too).
