I'm Batty for You!!

Hello everyone: I hope and pray you and your families are doing well, taking care of each other and wearing your masks.

My hubby and I got our first Covid-19 vaccine shot last March 18th., we'll go to get our second shot on April 14th.  Aside of sore arms, we didn't get any adverse effects so we are so very grateful for that.  We will continue to wear our masks and practice all the guidelines prescribed by doctors and scientists.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, my teammates and I from the 2 OLD BATS HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE want to invite you to play along.  I know we celebrate other Holidays this month but still, I think it would be fun to step out of the usual themes and create something a little spooky and fun at the same time, how about it, eh?  This is the card I created to inspire you and encourage you to play along.
**************************************************
This is the INSID
And this is what I used.
This fun image is from Kraftin' Kimmie and it's called "Batty for You".
Unfortunately, it's retired, so, so sad!!
I used Prismacolor pencils on everything except her dress.
When I colored it, I didn't like the way it looked, I wanted a lime green
color but I didn't have it so, I stamped the image again on a piece of lime green card stock and fussy cut it, I like it a lot!!
And, of course, I gave this beautiful lady some awesome eye shadow with a Q-tip and a lime green chalk.
The sentiments inside are, I think, from Stampendous, but I'm not sure.
I hope you get inspired to play along, get into a Halloweeny kind of mood for a little while and join my awesome teammates and I in our gallery.
For more inspiration, don't forget to hop over the 2 OLD BATS HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE  and check out the DT creations.
Thank you for visiting me today.
Stay healthy and safe.
Take care of yourselves and each other and please, wear your masks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's no secret to most of you that I love creating Halloween cards, to me, they are spooky and fun at the same time but I have not seen any Halloween only challenges out there, ahh! that is about to change starting today.

First of all, I was invited to be a part of the Designer Team for TWO OLD BATS HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE challenge, and I just couldn't pass this up.

So here's my first card that I hope will inspire you to come and join us as we launch this new and fun challenge.

This is a Kraftin Kimmie image, stamped on light gray card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils, the little ghosts are from Poppy Stamps and the sentiment from an old Flourishes set called "Witching You a Happy Halloween" (2010)

******************************************************
This is the INSID

The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and the little ghosts from Kraftin' Kimmie.

I hope you come and join my new teammates and I in the TWO OLD BATS HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE challenge and play along, we can't wait to see what you create.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you stop by the challenge page to get even more inspiration from the rest of the Designer Team.

Stay healthy, safe and please wear your masks.

Haunting you!!!!!

Hello dear friends: How's your Halloween card stash? Well, mine is in dire need of some new cards so, here's this one that might inspire you to get your spooky stamps out of that drawer into the light.

This ghostly and adorable image is from Kraftin Kimmie, I haven't used these stamps in a while so I'm happy I decided to use this one for my card.
The spooky background is done with a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and it's called Aspen Trees, I sponge it with Memento black ink.
The Ghostly Girl is "Hattie" from Kraftin Kimmie and it's unfortunately retired, but she is a cutie.
I stamped her on a piece of Drawing Paper because I needed to fussy cut it to make her look like she's actually floating around the trees.  I colored her with Prismacolor pencils and then, fussy cut it, I put a bit of painter's tape behind the delicate parts to give the paper a bit more sturdiness, this really works.

*******************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The little bats are from My Favorite Things and the sentiment I think it's from my stash of unknowns, very old too.

I would like to play with the following challenges.

#241 Autumn Colors.

Challenge #209 Autumn Colors

#84 Anything Goes/No Twist

Stenciled Backgrounds
Stenciled Background [Tag or Card]

Thank you for stopping by, your comments always make my day.
Hugs.
Maria.

The Sweetest Bat Girl.....

SOS Headquarters

Hello dear blogging friends: Tomorrow is Halloween so here at SHOPPING OUR STASH, my teammates and I are showing off our Halloween cards and we hope you come and join the fun showing us yours in the gallery.
Here is mine and I hope it inspires you to come and play along.

This little Bat Girl (no, it's not Batman's sidekick, LOL!!) is from Kraftin' Kimmie and it's called "Batty Princess", (I've had this rubber stamp for at least 3 years), I absolutely love her wings, her hair, her dress, her batty friend and, of course, her spider friend too.
I stamped her on a piece of watercolor paper with Gray Stazon ink and colored her with my Sakura Koi watercolors and my Prismacolor pencils.
The spider is from a super old Stampin' Up! set called "Best Friends" that came out back in 2006, talk about OLD, eh? the BOO sentiment was punched with a punch that is so old also I had forgotten where I got it.

*************************************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

All of the images are from a retired SU set called "Bite Me"

So I hope you get your Halloween stamps out and come and join my teammates and me in the SHOPPING OUR STASH gallery, don't forget to stop by the DT's blogs to check out their creations and get more inspiration from them.

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

Green Beauty.....

Hello everyone: There is a new challenge over at SHOPPING OUR STASH, this time we want to see ZOMBIES, WALKING CORPSES, ETC. we are trying to encourage you to add some fun Halloween cards to your stash so, here is my card and I hope it inspires you to join my teammates and me in the gallery.

Ain't she gorgeous? she is from Krafting Kimmie but I'm afraid this particular stamp is discontinued, I bought it a good 5 years ago.
So this time I did a mayor Shopping of my Stash to create this card. I used two leftover pieces of card stock, the one with the bats and the black one with the embossed Birch Trees from SU.  The spider web in the corner is also from SU, I just cut it in half and then in fourths.
The image is stamped on a piece of watercolor paper with Versafine ink and colored with Sakura Koy watercolors, I sponged a bit of Shabby Shutters and Black Soot distress inks all around this cutie pie.
The spider on the corner and the pumpkin she is holding are, believe it or not, confetti.

*********************************************************************
Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card. I always finish the inside to save me time when I need to mail my cards to family and friends.

I used the other fourth of the cut our spider web and another little confetti spider, the sentiment is from a Stapin' Up! set called "Dark and Dreary", from the 2010 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini.

So come and join my teammates and me in the SHOPPING OUR STASH gallery, be sure to check out the rest of the cards the Designer Team created for your inspiration.
Leave us your comments, we love to hear what you think.
Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.
