Class of 2019.....

Hello everyone: Here's another Graduation card, this time for my neighbor's grandson. I really like making these types of cards, the young people graduating are full of promise and dreams, with their future in their hands, ready to start on the next Journey, God Speed and God Bless you all.

A simple card, for a young man, the colors of his school, a few stars, the 2019 numbers were cut with my Cricut,(I should use it more often) and the CONGRATULATIONS, cap and diploma cut with a die.  The embossed paw prints are done with a Darice EF, this young man is graduating from the Crown Point High School and their mascot is a Bulldog.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The punched detail is done with a Fiskars punch, the sentiments and diploma are stamped with a Fiskars graduation set.

Wish I Was There.....

Hello everyone: Beach days are soon approaching and we can't wait to go to have a picnic with our grandchildren and take a plunge in the cool waters of Lake Michigan.
I have a card today that is a little snippet of what a fabulous beach day could look like, relaxing, sunny, warm.

This fun image is from a Power Poppy set called Best Day Ever, I stamped it on watercolor paper and colored it with SU markers adding a bit of shading with my Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from the set, the little shells from a very old Flourishes set called "Seaside Life" (2009), stamped, colored and fussy cut.  The little flip flops are punched out with a punch from EK Success I got at the bargain bin at my craft store also a very long time ago and now is sadly discontinued.
The pattern papers are from my stash.

Shower of Flowers.....

Hello everyone: My teammates and I have a new challenge for you this month of June.  We want you to FOCUS ON BACKGROUND STAMPING.  Here's the card I made to inspire you to come along and play with us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE gallery.

I stamped the images from the retired SU set called "Fabulous Florets" with Versamark ink and heat embossed in gold and then, colored them with my Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called "Pure Prairie Spirit", the little bees from another Power Poppy set called "Dynamic Duos: Foxglove and Ranunculus", I snipped these little bees from the stamp set just so I can use them on other cards, they are just about the perfect size.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment and corner flowers are from the same Powe Poppy set.
Be sure to visit THE FLOWER CHALLENGE for more inspiration from my awesome teammates.
Please remember to use FLOWERS as the main focus on your cards, include our banner on your blog when you upload your project to the gallery, only new work please, no back linking, you can participate in 6 other challenges and, most of all, have fun, we can't wait to see what you create.

A Sweet Message.....

SOS Headquarters

Hello everyone: It's that time for a new challenge over at SHOPPING OUR STASH and our theme this time is STENCILING, something I don't do at all, mainly because I honestly just forget.  I do have 5 stencils and 3 of them are unused, so thanks to the SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge, one of them was used to create this pretty picture which I'll hang in my craft room later.

This stencil is from ZENSPIRATIONS, I didn't find it on the page but she has other really pretty ones at the bottom of the page.
Well, this little wall plaque is just about 5.5x6" and I used Distress Inks to color it, that's all, easy peasy.
So I hope you feel inspired and get your stencils out and join my teammates and me in the SHOPPING OUR STASH gallery.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments always make my day.

I'm Rocking my Baby.....

No photo description available.

Hello everyone: My teammates and I over at RETRO RUBBER, have a brand new and fun challenge for you to play with, using what I think all of us have somewhere in our craft room.....BUTTONS and ribbon to make BOWS.
Here's my card that I hope inspires you to come and join us in our gallery.

This is one of the most beautiful and sweet baby stamp sets from Stampin' Up! It's retired now, it was featured in the 2009-2010 catalog and, as soon as I saw it, I bought it, I've used it several times and I love it. All three images in this set are on my card, there are also two sentiments.
I just adore this little Teddy Bear, the Train and the Rattle are so beautiful too.
I stamped all the images on white card stock with Stazon black ink and colored them with Prismacolor pencils, the pattern paper is from my stash and the little buttons on the Train, the ABC blocks and the Rocking Horse are from a bag of baby buttons I got at the craft store a few years ago. The sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "Hello Baby", released back in 2012.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sweet sentiment and the little Ducky toy are from another Flourishes set called "Baby Love", released back in August of 2013.

I hope you come and play along with my teammates and me at the RETRO RUBBER gallery, we know you have some buttons waiting to come out and help you create something beautiful, we can't wait to see it.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments always make my day.

Wild Mallard.....

Hello everyone: With Father's Day approaching I decided to create a Dad's Day card to add to my little stash of Masculine cards to send out to my family and friends near and far.

The image is from "The Wilderness Awaits" stamp set, (2015-2016 Stampin' Up! catalog, retired), one of my most favorite sets for Masculine cards, all the images are beautifully detailed, I love them.
I stamped this one on a piece of watercolor paper with Stazon black ink and colored it with Stampin' Up! markers and Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from the set.  The pattern paper is from my stash and so is the ribbon detail. I sponged the sky and water with distress inks.

The sentiment is from my stash and can't recall where I got it😕, the image on the corner is from SU "Wetlands" (2013-2014 catalog, retired).
