Just My Style.....

Well, when I saw the mood board over at Double D Challenges (I'll put the board at the end of the post, it's so beautiful) a faint memory of a really fancy hat, with feathers and flowers came to my mind, I thought about it and decided to look for it on a box where I keep my plain rubber stamps.  I found it, all the way at the bottom and it looked like I've used before perhaps when I bought it? Who knows, it's been a long while since this stamp was inked up, this stamp is from Blank Page Muse and, as you can see, it's really very pretty.

I decided to stamp it on Vellum with gray Stazon ink and colored on the back side with some SU markers and Prismacolor pencils, but when I saw the front the colors were not as bright as I was hoping so, I braced myself and colored it on the front, you can maybe see the outlines of the pencils, I really tried to be careful going over them from the stamped image in the back.
After I finish coloring it, I sponged some distress inks around to try to hide the score tape I used to glue the Vellum to the card stock, the sentiment was also in this box but this one I don't know where it came from. I placed some enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs to give the panel a little bling.
I also went with sponge daubers around the feathers to make them more feathery.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The punched detail is done with a Fiskars punch, the sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Sassy Succulents and the little shoes from a super old stamp from Katie and Co. but they might be out of business because the only place I found this stamp is on Ebay so you can check it out there.

I want to play along with the following challenges.

By The Bay.....

Hi there everyone: I have a card created with a NBUS stamp set from SU called "By the Bay", I really love the beautiful scene and sketchy look of these images.
This set was a freebie from Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration promotion and my last stamp purchase this year, I believe it was like back on the first week of January.
Anywho, here's my card, hope you like it.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored it with my SU markers and Prismacolor pencils.  I don't know about you but, I would love to be in that house, looking out into the distance, breathing the sea air and listening to the waves down below.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "Lenten Rose" and the little shell from the "By the Bay" set.

I would like to play along with the following challenges.

Good Tidings.....

Hello everyone: I have been creating a few Christmas cards to add to my stash so, when the Holidays roll around, I'll be set to send them out to my family and friends so, here's this card, hope you like it.

This image is from the Power Poppy set called Cozy Cupfuls, how sweet is this little Christmas Tree?  I stamped it on Canson Mix Media paper with gray ink and colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and paper stumps dipped in Gamsol.
I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the ornaments, I sure hope you can see it in the photo, this stuff is tricky to photograph.
The pattern paper is from my stash and the strip of shiny paper is from, believe it or not, a gift bag, I just love how the design moves, I think it's called Holographic, love it, the sentiment is from the set.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Poinsettia and the little pine branch from another Power Poppy set called Merry Littles.

IO Pretty Flower Vases.....

Image may contain: flower and text

Hello everyone: With Mom's Day approaching, I wanted to add one more card for my stash so, here's this one, hope you like it.

I took my cue from the RETRO RUBBER beautiful inspiration picture so I went looking for these two images from Impression Obsession that fitted this theme perfectly.  The vase on the right is called "Charming Gardens" (2008), the one on the left it's called "Pansies" (2011).  I stamped them on watercolor paper with Stazon black ink and colored with SU markers and a bit of Prismacolor pencils for added detail.
I made a cut on either side of the small vase with an Exacto knife and slid through a piece of pink organza ribbon and taped it in the back. The little round tag was on my box of leftover stuff so I tied it with twine to the ribbon, I like how it looks perfectly sized for this vase.

I have this very old Fiskars edge punch and I used it to punch a little detail on the panel, I think the sentiment is from Stampendous but I'm not really sure, it's plain rubber with no label, and the little branch with the nest from IO.

Please join my teammates' and me in the RETRO RUBBER gallery, please remember to use at least one rubber stamp older than a year, if you can provide the approximate date when you purchased it, we would love it.
Please read our rules, they are few but important and,  most of all, have fun creating.

The Butterfly is from Penny Black and the sentiment from another Flourishes set called "Tulips for Friends".

It's a Sweet Thing, Friendship.....

Hi there, everyone: Like the title says, Friendship is so sweet and I've made a lot of dear, amazing friends through this wonderful hobby so, I have a card today celebrating Friendships all around the World.

This image is from Arts Impressions and it's called Coffee BFF's.
I stamped this image on a piece of Canson Mix Media paper, this paper is thinner than the regular watercolor paper thus easier to fussy cut, which is what I did after I colored these gals with SU markers. The spaces under the stools were cut with an Exacto Knife.
The pattern paper is from my stash from Lili of the Valley, (discontinued), the sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "Seaside Life".
******************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from another old Flourishes set called "Gerbera Daisies" and it's my favorite sentiment for Friendship cards, the words are truly beautiful.
The two little butterfly friends are from this set.

I'm playing along with the following challenges.
