This image is the very first one from the Flourishes Stamps I ever saw back in February of 2011 on Mary Fish's blog when she had one of her beautiful parades of cards from friends and I fell completely head over heels in love with it. Of course I needed to find out where it came from, there was no information about it except for the lady who made that card so, I wrote to Mary asking if she could possibly ask this person where this image came from and, as always, Mary was happy to help and a few days later, this lady contacted me via email and that is where she told me this image was from Flourishes, she told me just to google it and, when I did, I entered an incredible world of amazing, gorgeous images created by Marcella Hawley, that lured me with their charm, elegance and beauty. Of course, I immediately bought this set and, for years and years until they sadly closed their on line store, I collected a fabulous stash of this awesome stamp sets.
Ok now, I stamped this image onto Canson water color paper with Versafine Onix Black ink and colored it with my SU markers and the aqua painter, the beautiful font background stamping is from Stampin Up!, it's from back in 2007!!!!! and it's called "French Script" which is just perfect for this beautiful image, don't you think?
Here is a close up picture of my card.
The beautiful "Friend" word is from another Flourishes set called
"Gerber Daisies" (2012) matches perfectly the font on this big stamp, the ink well is stamped onto a scrap piece of water color paper, colored and fussy cut to add a bit of dimension.
Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.
The sentiment is also from this set.
Here are the banners that inspired my card.
Thank you for stopping by, until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.
