THE HOP TO STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!!!!!

Hello everyone: Today's post is a bit late, I just found out about this blog hop to stop domestic violence and, even if it's almost over, I want to join in because there should always be awareness about this epidemic, where people suffer, most times in silence, abuse of all kinds that will leave scars for life.  Becca Cruger is the hostess for THE HOP TO STOP, she started this hop to help victims and survivors of domestic violence, to give them hope and encouragement and support to leave the abusive relationship.  So, even if it's a bit late, here is my card that hopefully raise awareness about this problem.

PURPLE is the color of the National Domestic Violence Awareness month and it also happens to be my most favorite color.  This lovely Orchids image is from a Power Poppy set called Orchids Rock by Marcella Hawley. I stamped this image onto a panel of Canson water color paper with Versafine black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, then I colored this gorgeous flowers with SU markers, and aqua painter and Prismacolor pencils. The awesome sentiments, in front and inside of my card are from this fabulous set, I think they are perfectly fitting for this cause!!
The ribbon, papers and bling are from my stash.

Lovely as a Tree.....

Hello everyone: This week at SHOPPING OUR STASH, we have an awesome challenge for you to try and, with the beautiful Autumn season in full swing, we want to see TREES, TREES, TREES!!
I pull out one of my first Stampin Up stamp sets I bought back in 2006, "Lovely as a Tree", it has gorgeous images that are perfect for any time of the year. So go dig out your beautiful tree stamps and join us in the gallery.  Here is my card.

I die cut a piece of Canson water color paper with the Wonky Stitched dies and stamped this trees with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder, then I put the panel back in the die to sponge the sun, sky and grass.  I always add some birds to this pretty line of trees so I grabbed the retired SU "Up, up and Away" from the 2011-2012 SU catalog and stamped them with Versafine black ink.
I cut a panel of gold foil paper and glue it on the back, added some gold brads for a little texture.
The sentiment is from Teeny, Tiny Wishes punched with the Word Window punch.

Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

Love Is The Thread.....

Hello everyone and welcome to a new RETRO RUBBER challenge, this time we have a beautiful picture inspiration for you that shows the magnificent colors of early Autumn, we can't wait to see your awesome cards in our gallery. I took the colors of this picture to make this card.

With the cooler temperatures comes cozy, warm sweaters and hot, aromatic coffee or tea by the fireplace, so this image from the retired Flourishes set "Stitched for You", that was released back in 2012,  is just perfectly inviting. This sweet image reminds me of my maternal grandmother who taught me how to knit and crochet when I was about 9 or 10 y/o. I remember her bedroom, her sewing machine by the window, drawers full of fabric, yarn and patterns, but most of all, her voice and warm hands teaching me how to move the hook or knitting needles, I treasure those memories.

I stamped this image onto a piece of Canva water color paper with Versafine black in and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder then, colored it with SU markers and the aqua painter.  The pattern paper and ribbon are from my stash. The sentiment comes with the set.
I punched the corners of the brown panel with a retired SU corner punch and added brass colored brads just to accent the teeny, tiny hearts on those corners.

The sentiment is from another retired Flourishes set called "With Gratitude".

A simple Autumn card.....

Hello everybody: Hope your weekend was great, enjoying the beautiful Autumn colors that Mother Nature gift us with every year.
I have a simple card I made using some of my favorite papers from Lili of the Valley.  I did very little stamping and coloring, I kind of let the DSP do this for me this time.

I like the effect of this two papers together, the snippet on the cross stitched die cut is the same as the panel on the left, only the background color is different. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Vellum with Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. A little linen thread bow is all the embellishment on this card.

Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

The sentiment is from a retired Flourishes set called "A Season of Thanks", the little pumpkin is from a Verve Stamps set called Bountiful Harvest, all of this images are absolutely adorable.
I colored this little pumpkin with Prismacolor pencils.
