It's no secret I love Halloween, the cards you make are always fun and you can be a little spooky or a lot cute, my card today is a little of both, I think.

Botanical Prints.

Hello everyone: I hope you and your families are doing well, keeping each other healthy and safe.

*****************************************************

I have a card to share today using a technique I've never used before, I had fun and the best part is that I got to see and appreciate even the most humble of plants......WEEDS, they too have pretty patterns and shapes and their flowers are really beautiful.

You might think these images came from stamps but they are from a couple of leaves I found outside, here's a picture of them after I passed them through the Big Shot to get the impressions.

Talk about Mother Natures' beauty, even if they are weeds.

Here is the inside.

And this is what I used.
The sentiments are from a Power Poppy set called "Nature's Carpet"

I want to play with these challenges.

Besides the leaf imprints, I used a stamp for the sentiment and I scored the leaf frames, I hope you can see the lines in the corners of the images.

Autumn Blessings.

Thank you for visiting me today, and please, stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.

Oval Elegant Rose.......

Hello everyone: As always, I hope and pray you and your families are doing well, taking care of each other and staying healthy and safe.

**********************************************************

Well, finally October is here and Autumn has started, this is my most favorite time of the year, mainly because of the glorious colors and cooler temperatures, it's as if Mother Nature is gifting us with one last color blast before Winter arrives.

THE FLOWER CHALLENGE has a new challenge for you to play in October, here's our banner with the theme, which is "Shaped Cards", we hope you help us celebrate our 5th. Birthday, from someone who's been here from the start, I hope for many more years with this wonderful team of talented and fabulous ladies.

This is the card I created to inspire you to play along.

*******************************************
This is the inside.

And this is what I used:
The rose image was purchased on Ebay.
The sentiment on the front of the card is from a Power Poppy set called "Dynamic Duos: Foxglove and Ranunculus", at the moment it's sold out.
The sentiment on the inside is from an Altenew set called "Beautiful Day

I stamped the rose on a separate piece of pink card stock with "Spun Sugar" from Tim Holtz, and colored it with Prismacolor pencils, paper stumps and Gamsol.
I fussy cut it and used glue dots to place it on the steam that I had stamped on the scalloped panel. The leaves are from the same Altenew set.
The die I used is from Spellbinders, the scalloped one is from Kaisercraft and it's called "Nesting Scalloped Stitched Ovals".
So I hope you come and join the fun and celebrate with us our 5th. Birthday.
