Wedding Gown Inspired.....

Hello everyone: Well, today I have a card to share with you for the Runway Inspired challenge #94 and the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #291 , here is my card.
When I saw the Inspiration Photo from Runway Inspired, I noticed, besides the gorgeous, lacy, white Wedding gown, the fabulous shoes she is wearing, very soft pink and beautiful so, I decided to make the flowers using this two colors. I stamped one of the flower stamps on the SU Flower Shop Bundle onto Vellum 3 times with Versa Mark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder, colored them with the Pink Prismacolor pencil (PC929) and punched out. For the leaves, I used the leaf image from the SU "Peaceful Petals" (sadly retired) and heat embossed it, colored it with the Apple Green Prismacolor pencil (PC912), they I snipped them out, even if the green is not as dark as in the photo, I wanted to incorporate it anyway. This dress has a golden zipper and that is why I added that strip of gold paper.
The sentiment is also from a retired SU set called ''Whimsical Words", it's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a panel of Ninah Solar White card stock and that took care of the black in the photo.
I added a few small SU pearls for some very soft bling.
Here is the inspiration photo from Runway Inspired.  And the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketches that inspired this card.I want to thank you for visiting my blog, I hope you enjoy this card. Masquerade for Freshly Made Sketches.....

Hello Everyone: I have a very CAS card to share with you for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week, here is my card.
I made this card with this fabulous stamp set from Verve Stamps called Masquerade , that I won participating on the Mojo Monday challenge #418 with THIS card.  I just love this gorgeous Mardi Gras masks. This set has a fantastic companion die for the masks and the handle, but not the feathers, I paper snipped those after I heat embossed them with gold glitter embossing powder. I also heat embossed the mask and the handle.
I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a panel of Ninah Solar White card stock, I scored all four sides to create a little frame around this pretty mask.
Here is the sketch that inspired this card.
Thank you for stopping by, until next time, happy stamping.

Frame It!!! for Merry Monday.....

Hello again everyone: I have another Christmas card to share with you today for the Merry Monday "Frame It!!!" challenge. Here is my card.
I stamped this beautiful Chickadee and Holy image from the (sadly) retired Stampin Up! set called "Beautiful Season" onto Canson water color paper and colored it with my aqua painter and SU markers in Garden Green, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron, Basic Gray and Basic Black. I sponged around the image with a little bit of Tim Holtz ''Broken China''.  The framing of this image was a little tricky, I don't have any plain square dies so, once I finish coloring it, I cut a dark brown piece of card stock 1/16" larger to create a little border.  Then, I measured this panels and drew around them onto a piece of pattern paper cutting with my exacto knife again 1/16" larger so the Cherry Cobbler card base can peek through, I wanted to create a ''mat'', just like at the framing stores. The patter paper then is cut leaving a 3/8" frame.  I heat embossed the sentiment from the beautiful Power Poppy Poinsettia stamp set in gold. I was going to leave it like that but I felt it needed a little something so I die cut the corners with some gold paper scraps and the Cherry Lynn Lace Corner Deco B dies .
Here is a close up of the golden sentiment and the other 2 corners, I think this die cut really add a bit of elegance to this hand made frame.
I hope you like this card, thank you so much for visiting, I love to read your comments, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Trying Masculine.....

Hello everyone: I don't know about you but for me, masculine cards are difficult to make.  I love flowers, cute little critters, pretty tea pots and not so scary ghosts and witches but, making cards for men really stomps me. When SU offered The Wilderness Awaits , I immediately bought it, all 4 images are gorgeous and very masculine, like this magnificent Elk with it's imposing rack.  Here is the card I made for the "Less is More" MASCULINE challenge.
I love this image, it's just perfect for a masculine card, I just stamped it onto Canson water color paper and colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and paper stumps dipped in baby oil. I hand drew the distant mountains and just sponged a little Wild Wasabi around it.  The sentiment is from an old Flourishes stamp set, it's stamped with Baked Brown Sugar, the only embellishment are a couple of candy dots.
Thank you for stopping by, until next time, happy stamping.

Dark and Dreary for Mojo Monday.....

Hello everyone: I have a card to share with you for  Mojo Monday this week that has a great sketch by Julee Tilman, here is my card.
I made this card using a really fabulous but sadly retired Stampin Up! set called "Dark and Dreary", there is nothing cute or adorable in this set, the images really give meaning to the name. But non the less, they are beautiful, specially this black Raven, which reminds me of that Edgar Allan Poe poem, gives me the chills.
I didn't think of adding anything to this card except the glittery orange brad and that punched out "BOO", no water coloring this time, only a sponged background around the image, which I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Ninah Solar White paper and then I punched it out with SU Scalloped Tag Topper.
The pattern paper is from Stamping up, but it's really old and I forgot to which collection it belongs to.  Here is the banner that inspired this card. This is all for today, thank you very much for visiting, until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

Simple Autumn Leaves.....

Hello again, everyone: Well, I've been busy making another one of my favorite cards to make, Autumn cards, which I will link up to The Paper Players CAS Leaf Challenge, a brand new challenge, at least for me called Crafty Creations with a theme of "Don't be Blue" (no color blue on your card) and the IN{K}SPIRE_me Sketch Challenge, Woo Hoo!! I love it when I can combine fabulous challenges like these. Here is my card.
This pretty leaf is from a the same set my friend Patti gave me, I used it to make THIS card the other day.
First I place the second to the biggest Spellbinders Nestabilities Fleur de Lis Square Dies  on my Canson water color paper panel and cut it with my Big Shot, I then attached this panel to my craft card base. I stamped the leaf onto this die cut piece with Versa Mark Ink to heat emboss with WOW Silver Pearlescent embossing powder, I stamped the leaf again on a piece of Vellum and also heat embossed it.  I colored the first leaf with my aqua painter and SU markers in More Mustard, So Saffron and Cherry Cobbler, the Vellum leaf was colored with Prismacolor Pencils. I sponged the edges of the die cut with SU Hello Honey ink and placed it on the card like a puzzle piece.
I cut the gold strips from gold paper scraps and stamped the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes in Hello Honey. I added a few Rhine Stones just for a little bling.
This are the banners that inspired this card.
Thank you so much for visiting, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Till next time, happy stamping.
