Climbing Orchids.....

Hello everyone and welcome to another fun time over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE.  My teammates and I have an awesome sketch for you to play with so I hope you find some flower stamps and come and join us in our gallery.
This is the sketch.
And here's my card, I left it without a sentiment so I can add it as I need it.

These images are from a beautiful SU set called "Climbing Orchids", it has a coordinating die set which comes in very handy to cut out these pretty flowers.
I stamped all 3 of them on watercolor paper with Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed them, then I color them in with some Sakura Koi watercolors.
The branch is from Memory Box, the papers from my stash and the enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The lace border is from a retired SU set called "Delicate Details", the sentiment and the little Orchids buds from the Orchid set.
So I hope you join my teammates and me at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE gallery, we can't wait to see what you create.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments always make my day.
XO
Maria.

Let Your Light Shine.....in 15.....

Hello everyone: Well, today the sun is shining beautifully and the temperatures
are in the low 50s. Woo Hoo!! Finally, nice and fresh to do some very badly needed yard work.....a bit later.
I have a quick card to share with you guys that literally took me about 15 minutes to complete.....well, that was after I picked the right stamp, decided on the colors, sentiment and design, putting it together was really about 15 min.

I already had the white card stock panel cut out so it was just a matter of die cutting the design, stamping the sentiment, coloring the little image with Prismacolor pencils and attaching the panel to my card base.
The image is from an old Flourishes set called "S'more Fun", the sentiment is from another Flourishes set called "Beauty Within" and the die cut is from My Favorite Things Rectangle Peek-a-boo Window.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The border is stamped with a retired SU set called "Delicate Details", the sentiment is from another retired SU set called "Whimsical Words" and the little flowers on the corner are from a Power Poppy set called Tea in the Garden.

I'm playing along with the following challenges.

This card took me about 15 min. to complete after
I assembled all of my stuff.

Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge #401
Sketch or "Frames" I opted for Frames.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments always make my day.

CASology Guest Designer.....

Hello everyone: Today I'm very happy to announce that I've been invited to be the Guest Designer for the CASology challenge this week, Woo Hoo!!

This is the new CUE CARD for this challenge.

This happened because THIS CARD was picked as a winner on their "BOUQUET" Challenge on February 12th.
The current Cue Card this time at CASology is "BURST" so, with Easter in mind, I created this card to inspire you to come along and play.
Please stop by the CASology Challenge blog to see the awesome cards the Designer Team have there for your inspiration.

I created this card with a very old and truly beautiful Cross from Stampabilities called "Resurrection Cross".
I stamped it on a panel of Ninah Solar White card stock with Stazon black ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils, then I stamped it again to create a mask so I could sponge the background with a bit of Hello Honey ink.
I found this tutorial on Pinterest by Geri that worked beautifully for my card so, thank you for sharing.
I stamped the word Alleluia with Versafine black ink and using the scoring board, scored a couple of short lines on the sides.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The border is made with a piece of stamped brown paper using the retired SU background stamp called "Hardwood",  the sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "He is Risen" and the little decoration in the corner from other old Flourishes set called "Signs of Spring".

I want to thank the Designer Team at CASology for inviting me to be their Guest Designer this week.
And as always, I thank you all for stopping by, your comments always make my day.
