LOVE for "Tag You're It".....

Hello everyone: Last week I got my brand new SU Scalloped Tag Topper Punch from the Weekly Deals, I've been wanting this punch for a while and now I finally have it. So, to try it out, I made this card for the Tag You're It Challenge.
I made this card with two images from two different Penny Black sets, the one with the balloon you can see it HERE and the one with the little walking mouse, HERE . I embossed the panel with an embossing folder from Craft Concepts called "Peace", I bought it at Hobby Lobby.  The die I used to cut the word "LOVE" came in a set of 4, it's old and I couldn't find the name of it, I apologize for that. To give the word a bit of dimension, I die cut it twice in two shades of pink.
As always, I colored my image with SU markers and the aqua painter.
I hope you like this card, please leave me your comments, I love reading them, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
Here is the sketch that inspired this card.Thank you so much for stopping by.
Till next time, hugs from Maria.

A Cup of Tea for CAS(E) this Sketch.....

Hello everyone: I have another CAS card to share with you today.  I'm enjoying participating in this challenges, I'm getting more comfortable now leaving lots of white space and just concentrating on my main image. Here is the card I made for
CAS(E) this Sketch!
The image is from an old Flourishes stamp set called "Grab a Cup", this company is sadly gone so I truly treasure all of my stamp sets I collected from them.  I colored the image with my Stampin Up! markers, I love how they blend beautifully with the Aqua Painter. I stamped this pretty tea cup with Stazon Jet Black ink onto Canson Canva water color paper, this paper has a texture that looks like canvas, I really like it, and it's a tad lighter in color than the regular Canson paper. Here is a close up so you can see the texture.
The sentiment is from the same set. I hope you like this CAS card, please leave me your comments, I love reading them, they always make me smile. My grandkids think I'm famous, LOL!!
Here is the sketch that inspired this card. Thank you so much for visiting. Till next time, keep on stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

What I used to create this card:
Paper: Canson Canva water color paper, Ninah solar white.
Inks: Stazon Jet Black, SU markers in Marina Mist, Rich Razleberry, Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, River Rock and Soft Suede.

Just Chill, for Muse Challenge #130.....

Hello dear friends: I have a really fun card to share with you today created for the Muse Challenge . When I saw the Muse inspiration card I immediately thought of this image, here is my card.
This is a very old stamp from "Alotastamps", I tried to find this company but apparently it closed its doors a while ago.
Anyway, I just thought this frog chilling in this Martini glass fit the theme perfectly.
Now, I wanted this frog to look good so, I went hunting for a frog image to have some options as to what colors to use and I found THIS image on a Google search so I just went with it.
To color it I use a super old tube of green acrylic paint from like a million years ago, when I took some ceramic classes, the color matches the frog in the picture real well.
I stamped the olive one more time, colored it with SU Old Olive marker, snipped it out and attached it to the panel with a glue dot, it looks like the first olive this frog tossed in the air, missed it's mouth. I used Pumpkin Pie to color the frog's hands and feet.
To make the Martini glass look more realistic, I added some Crystal Effects to it and also to the drops of Vodka this critter is spilling all over the place.
I hope you like this card, please leave me your comments, I always read them and they make me happy. If you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer them. Here is the Muse card that inspired this card. The Muse for this week is Tracey McNeely.
Thank you for stopping by, till next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

Grow Love for CAS(E) this Sketch.....

Hello everyone: I know I'm cutting it way to close to post my entry for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge for this past week, no excuses so, without any more delays, here is my card.
This is an old but much loved image from a long gone stamp company named Flourishes, the set is called "From the Garden".
I colored it with SU markers in Night of Navy, Cajun Craze, River Rock, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. The DSP is from Lilly of the Valley. I paper snipped the image, I didn't want to stamp it in a big piece of water color paper because it's not really white, it's Off White so I just paper snipped the image after I colored it. The sentiment is from the same set.
Here is a close up.
And here is the sketch that inspired this card.I hope you like it. Please leave me your comments or questions, I will answer these right away.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today, it's always such a joy for me to read your thoughts.
Till next time,
Hugs from Maria.

Singing Snow Men for Merry Monday.....

Hello everyone: I have another Christmas card to share with you for the Merry Monday Christmas challenge, this time is a color challenge, we must use Dark Green, Light Green and Red. I chose this adorable group of singing snowmen from Purple Onion Designs , here's my card.
I colored this image with my SU markers and an aqua painter, I used Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, Regal Rose and Soft Suede.  The sentiment is stamped with the Teeny Tiny Wishes in Garden Green and punched with the Word Window and the Modern Label Punches. The DSP and green Rhine Stones are from my stash.
Here is a close up of the sparkle on the snow, I took several pictures but it was a bit cloudy, this one was taken just when the sun broke through for a couple of minutes, I hope you can see it.
I hope you like this card, please leave me your comments, I love reading them. If you have any questions, please ask me anything, I will try to answer the best I can.
Till next time, happy stamping.

Sea Shells, Sea Shells.....for Less is More.....

Hello again everyone: Well, I've been having a lot of fun making CAS cards, I think I had this ability buried deep inside my creative mind and all it took was one small first try to bring it to the surface. I love making cards, when step into my craft room, is like I'm transported into a different dimension, time stops here and I just start doing what I love and get it ready to share it with you.
I made this card to participate again in the Less is More sketch challenge, here is my card.
This card was made with a very old but beautiful stamp set from a long gone company called Flourishes, I bought this set because this shell images remind me of the Spring Break vacations my husband and I took to Panama City, FL. with our grandchildren. Each year, they collected buckets of shells that they still have, but more important, they have the beautiful memories of those trips with us.
I stamped the shells on a piece of Canson water color paper with Stazon Jet Black ink and colored it with my SU markers. I finished it in just about 30 min. I really like this line of ocean treasures, I hope you do too.
Please leave me your comments and questions, I love reading them, it's like food for my soul. I will answer any questions about this card so, don't hesitate to ask.

This is the sketch that inspired this card.

Thank you for visiting, till next time.
