Amanita Muscaria.....

Hello everyone and a happy weekend to you all.
A few weeks ago I bought this gorgeous stamp set from Power Poppy called WILD MUSHROOMS, as soon as I started seeing the sneak peeks from the DT members, I knew I was going to get it so, here is my card, featuring one of these amazing mushroom images.

I stamped this image on a die cut piece of watercolor paper with Versafine black ink and colored it with my SU markers. I'm amazed at the fact these markers are still plenty juicy, even if they are very, very old.  The pattern papers are from my stash, the sentiment is from the set, the enamel dots are home made by me, using the directions on THIS VIDEO TUTORIAL, I love how they turned out, she baked them at 450 degrees for about 12 min. if you want them to spread a bit more, for 8 min. to make them smaller.  The only kind of tedious part is lining them up on your baking sheet.

Here is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The little mushroom is from the Wild Mushrooms set, the sentiment is from another Power Poppy set called Best Day Ever.

I'm playing along with the following challenges.

Hello Dahlia.....

Image may contain: text

Hello dear blog friends: The RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE has a new one for you to play with, the theme is "Harvest Time" and here it's this beautiful picture to serve as inspiration for you, whether is the colors, the flowers, the pumpkins or all of it, we can't wait to see your creations in the gallery.
Here's my card, I hope it also inspires you to come and play along.

This image is from an old Flourishes set called "Dahlias" that was released back in July of 2013. This image was illustrated by the fabulous Marcella Hawley and now, she has this very image, revamped in digital form over at the Power Poppy DIGITAL COLLECTION page.
I stamped this image on a die cut piece of Blick Studio Drawing Paper, (love this paper for my Prismacolor pencils) with Stazon black ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils, the sentiment is from a Verve Stamps set called "Bountiful Harvest" released in 2013 (discontinued 😕), I added a bit of gold with the "Gorgeous Grunge" set from SU, also discontinued, the pattern paper from my stash.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from the Dahlia set, the flowers from my stash.

I hope you come and play along with my teammates and I at the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE, please remember that at least ONE OF THE STAMPS YOU USE NEEDS TO BE OLDER THAN A YEAR, please let us know more or less, how old it is.

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time, happy stamping.

Flower Pot Card for SOS #377.....

SOS Headquarters

Hi there blogging friends: My teammates over at SHOPPING OUR STASH have a fabulous challenge for you this week. The theme is SHAPED CARDS, easy, right?
Well, the challenge is for you to use any shape except SQUARES, RECTANGLES, OVALS OR CIRCLES, anything else is perfectly acceptable.
So here is my contribution for this challenge, my card is shaped as a flower pot.
I watched several videos on how to make this shaped cards and THIS ONE was the best at how to go about it.  I had my flower pot die set so I just used it for my card, I also went a bit crazy with my flowers, I have a lot more than on the video but still, the way she made the insert was super helpful.

I created the pot with a die set from Spellbinders called "Flower Pots", the flowers were stamped with a retired SU set called "Flower Shop" from the 2013-2014 catalog and punched with the coordinating punch.  I stamped the flowers with different SU inks and then gave them a bit of shadow and color with my Prismacolor pencils.
The greenery was die cut with the retired SU die set called "Botanical Blooms", the ribbon is also from my SU stash.

The flowers can be pulled out of the pot for you to write a little massage.

I hope you stop by the SHOPPING OUR STASH blog for more inspiration from my teammates.
Check out their blogs to see how they created their cards and leave them some comment love.
