Audrey Loves Make Up.....and Spots.....

Hello everyone: I had the awesome surprise of being picked as a lucky winner of the "Less is More" challenge #394 "Buds and Petals" with THIS CARD, so the fabulous ladies of the Designer Team asked me to be their Guest Designer for Challenge # 398, One Layer Card, "SPOTS".

So I'm thrilled to share with you this card I made for this challenge, I hope it inspires you to come and play along.

This image is from Stamping Bella and it's called Audrey Loves Makeup, doesn't she looks so elegant?
I stamped the image on a folded piece of watercolor paper with Stazon black ink and colored her dress, hat and purse with a bit of Picked Raspberry distress ink, then I grabbed THIS FALLING SNOW STENCIL and carefully looked for a section where I can cover the dress, purse and hat and, with a sponge dauber, I went over that very lightly with the distress ink.
I used Prismacolor pencils to add color to her sweet face, arms, legs and hat, I applied a gold gel pen to the details on her purse, her necklace and tiny lipstick, I also added an earring, just to complete her jewelry, I sure hope you can see it.
The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Sassy Succulents, the spots are from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Gorgeous Grunge.

Just Chilax.....

Hello everyone: Don't you just wish you could do exactly what these little mice are doing? Oh my gosh!! what a perfect way to catch some ZZZZZ's!!!
This image is from House Mouse and it's called "Ray of Sunshine".
I looked for it to give you a link but it seems to be discontinued, so sad.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Versafine black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder then, colored it with SU Hello Honey for the flowers and Old Olive for the leaves, Mudpie and Muzzy were colored with a bit of Derwent watercolor pencils.
I sponged the sky with Tumbled Glass ink and the sun with Hello Honey.
I was debating as to where to put the sentiment, which is from an old Flourishes set called "Pinwheels and Popcicles". I didn't want to cover the image and didn't want to stamp it on the panel either so I decided to stamp it on Vellum with Stazon black ink and die cut it with a tag die, I added an enamel dot to hide the glue dot.

The border is stamped with a retired SU set called "Delicate Details", the sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Potted Primroses and my little jumping mouse is "Jumping for Joy" from House Mouse.

Beautiful Bouquet.....

Image may contain: text

Hello everyone: Well, with my grandkids and my hubby on vacation, it's been hard to get into my crafting mode, so this time I opted to use a card I created a while ago for Brian King's Spring Swap. This card was sent to him and he, in turn, sent it to someone in the USA.  I have not blogged about it until today for the RETRO RUBBER "Anything Goes" Challenge.

This beautiful bundle is called "Beautiful Bouquet" and it's from the 2017-2018 SU catalog, I love the sweet, delicate flowers in it.
As you can see, there is very little stamping, the brick wall is done with a Tim Holtz EF, the sentiment is from a retired SU set called "Itty Bitty Banners" (2013).

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The border is stamped with a retired SU set called "Delicate Details", the sentiment I can't recall right now where is it from, I apologize. The little flower is from the Beautiful Bouquet bundle.

I hope you get inspired to come and play along with my teammates and me at the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE.
Please don't forget to use stamps that are older than one year to have a chance to be one of our winners.

A Pun(y) Card.....well.....sort of.....

SOS Headquarters

Hello everyone: It's almost never that I'm faced with the dilemma of not having a stamp set with the images I need to create a card for a challenge but, well.....this time it happened when I tried to create something for SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge, the theme is cards with Puns in them and I honestly wrack my brain trying to come up with something with almost no luck.
But, thank goodness for Pinterest because I found THIS IMAGE that I thought it was just perfect for my card and here it is.

Ok, almost everything on this panel is made by hand, I did die cut the dark brown circle behind my "donut" and the pattern paper is from my stash but, the donut and the sentiment were drawn by hand copying the image I mentioned, on brown and lime green card stock then, fussy cut.
The "sprinkles" are stamped with one of the images from "Gorgeous Grunge" (SU, retired), I added a few Rhine Stones for a bit of bling.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Short Stacks and the little candles from a Penny Black set called Cupcakes.

So, there you have it, my Pun(y) card, I hope it inspires you to come and play along, even if you don't have anything "punny", just let your imagination help you create it.
Don't forget to go visit the SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge blog, you'll find lots of inspiration looking at my teammates' cards, they are awesome!!!!!

I'm playing along with this challenge.

Finally!!! My Bee Twofers.....

Hello everyone: Well, the Twofer Card Challenge #17 is all about BEES, these little marvels of Nature so, I was astonished that I didn't have more bee images to work with for this challenge.
I finally made up my mind and used a retired SU set called "Just Buzzing By".
Here are my cards together.

My first card: Stamped the images on Canson Mixed Media paper with Stazon black ink and colored them with Prismacolor pencils. I replaced the sign on the door of the hive by stamping it again, masking the "Hive Sweet Hive" words and replacing them with a handwritten "Welcome Home" ones, making this card a welcome home card.

******************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from a retired Flourishes set called "On the Porch", the jar of Honey is from the Bee set.

This is my Twofer.

On this card I used the same little bees and a few images from other sets.
The banner is from an old Flourishes set called "Smore Fun", the gifts are from another retired Flourishes set called "All Wrapped Up!", the Jar is from the bee set. I sponged a bit of Hello Honey ink using a beehive stencil.
Everything is colored with Prismacolor pencils.

The sentiment and flower are from the Bee set.
