Summer Flowers.

Hello everyone: As always, I hope and pray you and your families are doing well in these troubling times.
Common sense and justice and change in our thinking must prevail if we all want to go back to our normal times, just saying.

Well, we are just starting Summer and, up here in the MidWest, we are feeling it.
The theme for the Month of July over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE is SUMMER/WINTER.  We have friends all over the world and that means that for some of us it's Summer but for some it's Winter.
I created these cards depicting some beautiful Summer flowers.

I have this very old Flourishes set called "A Year In Flowers" (2013), it has a flower for every month of the year.  Since Summer officially starts June 20th., I picked these two flowers for June and July.

I stamped these roses with Stampin' Up! markers on Strathmore Watercolor paper and colored them using a damp brush, then fussy cut them. The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called "Go Wild" (on sale now), the pattern paper is from my Lili of the Valley stash.

Patter paper from Lili of the Valley, sentiment from a Flourishes set, I forgot the name but it's from 2009-2010.

Another Summer Flower from this set is the Tiger Lily for the month of July.
Stamped in Spiced Marmalade for the flowers and Old Olive for the stems and colored with Prismacolor pencils.
The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called "Poppies" also on sale now.

Bewitched.....

Hello everyone: I hope you and your families are doing well, I know I say this to you guys every time I post on my blog but it's my most sincere and heartfelt prayer and hope, in these very difficult times.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know all of us have in our craft room, very old stamp sets that we love but, for no particular reason, don't use as often as we should so, we keep buying new ones neglecting our old ones that have every right to be inked up.
That's what my teammates and I over at RETRO RUBBER want to encourage you to do, so go and dig out your old favorites and share your cards with us at our gallery, if you can, please let us know how old your stamp sets are.
I just love, love all of the images on this set from Stampin' Up! called "Cauldron Bubble" (2018 Holiday Mini). I must confess that the little critters and the ghost were the ones that caught my eye first.  I stamped all of these images on Strathmore Bristol paper with Stazon black ink and colored them with Windsor&Newton watercolor markers, I stamped the bubbles and the fire separately colored them and fussy cut them to add some dimension, I sponged some Spiced Marmalade ink on the cauldron to give the illusion of the light of the fire reflecting on it.
The window was cut with a Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Bigz XL Die
The pattern papers are from my stash, the sentiment, from the set.
The sentiment and the little broom are from the set.
