Hello Dahlia.....

Image may contain: text

Hello dear blog friends: The RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE has a new one for you to play with, the theme is "Harvest Time" and here it's this beautiful picture to serve as inspiration for you, whether is the colors, the flowers, the pumpkins or all of it, we can't wait to see your creations in the gallery.
Here's my card, I hope it also inspires you to come and play along.

This image is from an old Flourishes set called "Dahlias" that was released back in July of 2013. This image was illustrated by the fabulous Marcella Hawley and now, she has this very image, revamped in digital form over at the Power Poppy DIGITAL COLLECTION page.
I stamped this image on a die cut piece of Blick Studio Drawing Paper, (love this paper for my Prismacolor pencils) with Stazon black ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils, the sentiment is from a Verve Stamps set called "Bountiful Harvest" released in 2013 (discontinued 😕), I added a bit of gold with the "Gorgeous Grunge" set from SU, also discontinued, the pattern paper from my stash.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from the Dahlia set, the flowers from my stash.

I hope you come and play along with my teammates and I at the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE, please remember that at least ONE OF THE STAMPS YOU USE NEEDS TO BE OLDER THAN A YEAR, please let us know more or less, how old it is.

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

Shaker Card.....

Hello Blogging friends: Today I have a fun shaker card I created for THE FLOWER CHALLENGE Anything Goes Challenge #18.  I love this types of cards and I should make them more often, they are really fun to create and receive.
This card was made with one of the  beautiful images donated by the very talented Eunji Jung, to my teammates and I to inspire you to come and play with us in the gallery.
She also has generously offered these two images to one lucky winner so, we all hope you come and join us.

I printed the flowers on a piece of Bristol paper and colored it with my Prismacolor Pencils, then I fussy cut them and glued them to my shaker window. I added some beads and a sentiment from the Power Poppy set called Dynamic Duos: Peonies and Tulips, the pattern paper is from a retired line from Lili of the Valley.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The decorative edge is from a retired SU set called "Delicate Details", the sentiment is from another Power Poppy set called Potted Primroses, I also printed the smallest flower on this trio, colored it and fussy cut too.
I hope you get inspired to come and play with us in THE FLOWER CHALLENGE gallery and, while you are there, check out my teammates amazing projects.
Please read our rules carefully, you need to follow them to be eligible to win the prize and don't forget to add the challenge banner when you upload your card to the gallery.

Background Stamping.....

Hello dear friends: Today I want to share with you a card I created for THE FLOWER CHALLENGE's new challenge which is "BACKGROUND STAMPING", I hope it inspires you to join my teammates and me in our gallery.  Please stop by their blogs and check out their amazing creations.

I must confess creating this card was a bit hard for me.  Those of you who've known me for a while know I'm not a fan of pattern papers, not because they are not beautiful, which they are but, because I just don't ever know how to mix and match or combine them on my cards with the images I stamp and color so, for me to cover a panel with repetitive images was truly a challenge.
But that is what challenges are for, to urge you to step out of your comfort zone and figure something out. This card is it, hope you like it.
I used 3 different Power Poppy sets on this card, the Springtime Love, the Countryside Bouquet Delux, and the Dynamic Duos: Foxglove and Ranunculus for the sentiment on the inside.
I stamped the images on a piece of lilac cardstock with Stazon black ink and then, I colored all the images with my Prismacolor pencils.

Here is the picture of the finished inside of my card.

This challenge will run until August 25th. so you have plenty of time to get creative and join us in our gallery.  For more inspiration, hop over the challenge and check out my teammates awesome creations, you'll be glad you did.
Please remember to check out our rules, they are few but important and don't forget to add our Challenge Banner to your post when you upload your card to the gallery.
