Pink and Gold for Christmas.

Hello everyone: I'm always hoping and praying you and your families are doing well, taking care of each other and still wearing your masks.

My hubby and I are getting our second vaccine shot on April 14th. I hope we only have a sore arm like with the first one, I've heard that the second shot might give you some other side effects but that's ok, no worries.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, today I'm sharing a Christmas card that happily will land on my still growing  stash, I love having enough cards for family and friends when the Holidays arrive.
This is the INSIDE.
And this is what I used.
Power Poppy "Simple Joys"
Power Poppy "Poinsettia"
Flourishes "Warm Winter Wishes", for the little mitten, (discontinued)
Prismacolor pink pencil.
I want to play with these challenges.
Thank you for visiting me today.
Stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.
Welcome Autumn!!!!!
 Hello everyone: Every day I pray for you and your families to be well in this very difficult times we're living, please stay healthy, safe and wear your masks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yesterday was the day that Autumn officially started, I don't know about you guys but this is my favorite season of the year, I know I've said it before but it's true, I just love everything about it, the colors, the crisp days, apple picking with the grandkids, baking apple pies.

This is a card to welcome this most beautiful time of the year.

I embossed at piece of Kraft card stock with the retired SU "Birch Trees" embossing folder, then I sponged a little "Spiced Marmalade" and "Peeled Paint" distress inks (Tim Holtz). I stamped the leaves from the retired SU "Vintage Leaves" stamp set (2015-2016) with Versamark ink and gold heat embossed them, I sponged more of the distress inks on them, I made a bow with linnen twine.
I stamped the sentiment from an "Our Daily Bread" set called "Autumn Blessings". I think the company has closed down, I couldn't find this set anywhere.

*****************************************************
This is the INSIDE of the card.

Both the sentiment and the acorns are from the Autumn Blessings set.

I'm playing along with the following challenges.

I think my card is a combination of Fancy and clean and layered.
I was inspired by all the beautiful leaves.

I turned the sketch on the vertical.

Thank you for stopping by.
Stay healthy, safe and please wear your masks.

Hydrangea in Bloom

Hello everyone: As always, I'm hoping from the bottom of my heart that you and your families are doing well, staying healthy and safe.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This card is entirely made out of scraps, even the image that I found, already stamped and colored, inside the "Best Thoughts" stamp set case from Stampin' Up! (2015-2016), I probably meant to finish it, put it away and forgot it, sheeesh!
I stamped and gold heat embossed the flower and then, colored it with SU markers, I'm really so happy they are still with enough ink to help me color my images.  I cut the top and bottom panels with a scalloped die, I used the Spellbinders Hemstitched Squares, the DSP might be from SU but I'm not sure.
The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Poppies, the banner is from Spellbinders die set called Ribbon Banners Etched Dies.
This is the INSIDE of this card.
The sentiment is from the Power Poppy "Poppies" set, I inked it up with markers in each of the colors of the rainbow.
The butterfly is from a Stampendous set called "Butterflies"
Golden Poppies.......
Hello everyone: Again, I'm hoping you and your families are doing well, it's difficult but absolutely necessary to be patient and observant of the guidelines that might seem very restrictive but they are so very important, wearing a mask might be uncomfortable and not very cool but, having to wear a respirator is much, much worse, I keep telling my grandkids this over and over.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

THE FLOWER CHALLENGE for the month of June is a color challenge. The colors are NAVY plus a color of your choice, just two colors, ok?
This is the card I made to inspire you to come and play along.

I heat embossed in gold this image from a Power Poppy set called "Poppies", which happens to be on sale now, just saying. The sentiment is also from this set. I apologize for not remembering where the butterfly die set came from.
I also added a couple of gold glitter card stock to the edges of the corner panels.

********************************************************
This is the INSIDE of my card.

The sentiment is from another Power Poppy set called Everything's Even Rosier.
The Poppies on the corner are from the Poppies set.

I hope you stop by THE FLOWER CHALLENGE to get more inspiration from my fabulous teammates, we can't wait to see your creations in the gallery.
Please read our rules, they are simple but important.

Thank you for stopping by.

Sending lots of virtual hugs.

Words to Live By......

Hello everyone: I'm late posting this simple card, got caught up with the usual "fun" activities at home.....meaning laundry, prepping my meals for the next 4-5 days, separating, vacuum packing, labeling, etc.
So, here's my card.

The sentiment is by Hampton Art, very old, I heat embossed it in gold.
I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the front panel and I sponged the musical notes with some distress inks.
The little charms are ancient!!! They were silver so I painted them gold.
*********************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from a retired SU set called "Whimsical Words".

I'm playing along with the following challenges.

Altenew Reminder.....

Hello dear friends: It's midway to our "Embossing (Heat or Dry)" Challenge over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE and this time around, Altenew is giving away a beautiful stamp set to one lucky randomly chosen winner so, I hope this card I created using the gorgeous "Recollections" Altenew set, will inspire you to come along and play with us in our gallery.

I stamped this beautiful spray of flowers and the sentiment on black card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder then, colored the flowers with my Prismacolor pencils.
I added a few enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.
When I took the picture, the sun came out and it cast that beautiful, diagonal shine on the card as I was focusing the camera, I didn't want to move and I took the picture quickly because there are some clouds rolling in and I didn't want to miss out on this cool effect, it kind of looks like I sprinkled Pixie Dust all over the card but I didn't, although I wish there was a little Fairy hiding somewhere in this craft room doing this when I'm not looking.

**********************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

I have this very old but pretty set of punches from The Paper Studio and I used the one with the butterfly to punch the corners on the inside, the sentiment is from the Altenew set.

Vellum Embossed Iris.....

Hello everyone: So we've arrived at the halfway point on our "Anything Goes" Challenge so here's a little reminder to inspire you to come and play along.

These pretty flowers are from the Altenew set called Enchanted Iris and it's beautiful.  I love these flowers, in real life, their petals are almost transparent so that's why I decided to stamp them on Vellum. But Vellum can be difficult at times, especially if you wet it, (don't ask me how I know, tee hee!!)
After a few futile attempts, I decided to heat emboss it hoping that the raised edges would help a bit with the warping.
To my delight, they did, still had a little bit of twisting, especially on the petals and the leaves but, after the watercolor was dried, I used my bone folder to gently straighten them up.
I used my Sakura Koi watercolors, a bit of water and a very thin brush, I die cut the frame with THIS Spellbinders die set.
I added a few sparkly enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.

******************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Dynamic Duos: Peonies and Tulips, the frame is from an old Flourishes set called "Country Charm Labels" (2011), the butterfly is from THIS Stampendous clear stamp set.

I hope you find some time to come and play along with us over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE, this challenge will close on the 25th. of March.

I'm playing along with the following challenges.

Love these dies for the Iris, it cuts perfectly on the edge of the image.

EMBOSS IT!!!!!

Hello everyone: July is here and with it comes a new challenge for you to play with over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE.  I want to thank all of you amazing crafters who participated in our June Challenge "Anything Goes", we had a fabulous turnout, over 182 entries!!! which made my teammates and I, very happy.
So for our July challenge we want to see some EMBOSSING, heat or dry, which ever you'd like or even both techniques, we can't wait to see what you create.
Here is my inspiration card for this month, and I hope you join us in the gallery.

This lovely Azalea image is one of my first purchases from Power Poppy back in 2014, this set is called Azalea. I stamped this image onto a piece of water color paper with Versamark ink and heat embossed it in gold then, colored it with my Sakura Koi water colors and my fixed Wink of Stella.
I embossed a piece of pink card stock and a piece of SU retired vellum with a retired embossing folder, (I forget the name of this one, sorry).
The sentiment is from the set. I added a few Nuvo Drops and a triple bow made with some organza ribbon.
*******************************************************************
Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

I embossed just the top of the pink card stock with the same folder, the sentiment is from a retired Flourishes set called "Tulips for Friends"
