Twofer Critter Challenge.....

Hello everyone: I'm back with a card created with one of my favorite subjects....."Critters", love them all, great and small.

My card features a few stamps from Purple Onion and the great designer Stacey Yacula, her little critters are among the cutest ever!!

Both cards are created with Shadow, super cute little owl, on this card I perched him on a Lamp Post and gave him a hat from Katzelkraft Accessories.  The sign is also from Purple Onion and the "Peace" sentiment from Power Poppy "Merry Littles".  I colored all the images with Prismacolor pencils.

The snow and snowflakes are die-cut and punched with glimmer paper.

My Twofer card.

Same little owl but on this card I added some fluttering bats from a retired (sadly) by Hero Arts, I'm so glad I grabbed it when I did.

I created a mask for the Owl and the lamp so I could sponge the sky and stamp the bats. I drew by hand his little cape, the witch's hat is from a retired SU set called "Tee-Hee-Hee", (2014). I stamped it with Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed it then, I fussy cut it. 

The little houses in the distance are drawn from a retired SU die set called "Sleigh Ride", I just die cut the houses and traced around them twice.

All the images are colored with Prismacolor pencils, the sky and moon are sponged with Distress Inks.

Guest Designer for The Twofer Card Challenge.....

Hello everybody: I'm beyond thrilled to be the April Twofer Card Challenge Winner and to top this honor, I was invited by the fabulous Darnell and her awesome Design Team to be their Guest Designer for the TWOFER JUNE CHALLENGE #6 so, without further delay, here are my TWOFER cards that I hope will inspire you to come and play along in this fabulous and super fun challenge.

The Prompt for this challenge is TREES.  You must create two cards with two different designs for two different occasions using the same Tree stamp or die. 

Here are my TWOFER cards together, I will share an individual picture of them later on.

My TWOFER this time are a Christmas card and a Halloween card.....talk about two different celebrations and occasions, right?  The stamp I used on both cards in different ways is the Purple Onion Birch Tree Background, I used it to create the frame for the Nativity Image on my Christmas card and the "Spooky" forest for my little critters, all dressed up for Trick or Treating, on my Halloween card.

Here are the individual pictures of these cards, I will briefly explain how I created them and what I used on each.

For this card, I stamped the trees 4 times with Antique Linen distress ink and added some shadows with a Prismacolor pencil then, I fussy cut them and placed a brad on each corner to secure the frame, I also added a bit of glue to the corners for reinforcement.

I stamped the image form the retired SU set called "All Ye Faithful" with Stazon black ink and colored it with SU markers and Prismacolor pencils, I glued the frame on top and attached it to an embossed panel using a brick embossing folder. The pine branches, bow and gold detail are die cut with the retired SU die set called "Pretty Pines thinlits".

This is my second card using the same Purple Onion Birch Tree background.

I stamped the Birch Trees on a panel of black card stock with white ink and added the shading with a white Prismacolor pencil,  the little critters are also from Purple Onion and they are TROUBLE the Halloween Bat, SHADOW THE OWL and BUTTERCUP BUNNY, I hand drew the Owl's cape and the Bunny's mask and cape myself since I didn't have the rubber stamps with these images, the sign is THIS ONE, I love it because it's perfect for stamping small sentiments, the one here is from the SU TEENY, TINY WISHES, love this set, it has a sentiment for every occasion.

Snowbuddy Likes You.....

Hello crafty friends: It's time for a new challenge over at SHOPPING OUR STASH, the theme is SNOW or anything that has to do with it, this is another chance for you to increase your Holiday card stash so, get busy and join my teammates and I in our gallery.

This is the card I made to inspire you to play along.

These cute little characters and the fence are from Purple Onion Designs, Snowy the Winter Owl, Winterberry (Small Snowman) and Snowy Fence, I did a bit of masking to stamp the Snowman in front of the fence, easy peasy.

Colored with Sakura Koi water colors.

I used a Snow Fall stencil to apply Ranger Texture Paste Opaque over my panel and on the fence and ground, I found 4 leftover snowflakes I've cut for another project and added them to the corners with glue dots, I also placed a Rhine Stone in the center of each for a bit of bling.

The sentiment is from a retired SU set called "Snow Much Fun".

I always finish the inside of my cards, this saves me a lot of time when I need to mail them.

Both the sentiment and the little bird are from the same SU set.

OLC for LIM.....

Hello everyone: I have a quick CAS card to share with you that I will link to a few challenges at the end of this post.  Here is my card, hope you like it.

I just adore the Purple Onion little critters from the Stacey Yacula Collection, so cute, whimsical, so sweet, easy and fun to color, this little guy is called Shadow and he is being lifted by this balloons. 

I stamped this images with Stazon black ink onto a folded panel of Strathmore mixed media paper and colored them with SU markers and my Wink of Stella.

I stamped the owl onto a piece of scrap paper to make a mask so I can sponge a bit of blue for the sky with Tumbled Glass distress ink. The sentiment is from an old Flourishes set.
