Braided Ribbon for Baby.....

Hello dear blog friends: I've been absent for a while due to having both hubby and grandchildren on Spring Break, fun but at the same time, hectic. From taking them to their sports practices to picking them up, making lunch and dinner for them, etc. My MOJO was put on the shelf until I could get a bit of peace and quiet to do the other things I love.  So today, I have a card for you that hopefully will inspire you to join my teammates and me in the SHOPPING OUR STASH gallery, this week we want to see RIBBONS, LACE, CORD, TWINE, YARN.....you get the idea, right?  I was able to dig into my stash of ribbon to create this card using THIS TUTORIAL I saw on Utube.  Here is my card.

The braided ribbon technique is super easy to do, once you get your rhythm, you can finish in no time.  The bassinet image is from an old Flourishes set called "Baby Love" and the sentiment is from another Flourishes set called "Hello Baby", stamped with Stazon black ink onto water color paper and colored with SU markers, an aqua painter and Prismacolor pencils. I fussy cut it and taped it onto a piece of vellum so the pretty design of the Lili of the Valley pattern paper (sadly discontinued) wouldn't be covered.
*******************************************************************
Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

Both sentiment and baby rattle are from the same sets.
I hope you give the SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge a try, please stop by my teammates blogs to see their beautiful creations and leave them some comment love.
Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

Beautiful baby card, Maria! Wow: I was betting you braided the ribbon yourself-- is there anything you can't do?! What a terrific way to use some ribbon-stash! The fussy-cut bassinet is great on the vellum which frames it, but like you said: doesn't hide your DP.

Beautiful baby images here! The handmade ribbon treatment reminds me of Grammy making newborn grandchildren each a crochet blanket for their birth! Beautiful!
