Wetlands Twofer.....

Hello everyone: I have another TWOFER to share today, I'm really having fun with this challenge.  I decided to make a couple of masculine cards, I realized I only have like 3 in my stash and that is bad, I think I don't often make this type of cards because guy cards are hard for me to create and that is why I'm so happy to own the retired "Wetlands" stamp set by Stampin' Up!, which is just perfect for masculine cards, all the images and the sentiments are beautiful and not girly at all.

Simple and with few embellishments, I'm very happy with the way these two cards came out.
With a bit of sponging on the left card and some watercolors on the right card, I was able to create two different scenes using the same image of this cute Sandpipers.
I took the pictures of the cards together on top of my work desk, they don't fit in the little cube I use all the time to photograph them. Here are the individual shots.

Here is the picture of the inside of both cards, finishing the inside saves me time when I mail them.

The sentiment on the left card is from a set by Power Poppy called Dynamic Duos: Foxglove and Ranunculus, which happens to be on sale today, 😉
The sentiment on the right card is from a retired Flourishes set called "Gerbera Daisies"

I'm playing along with the following challenges.

Oddball Art Stamps Blog Challenge January "Feature a Creature"

DL.ART Challenge #220 "Winter" optional theme "Thank You"

Crafty Animals Challenge #10 "Anything Goes"

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

Two great cards. Like the rustic look with the jute on the first one. Beautiful sunset/sunrise and shading on the glowing sun. Wonderful job Maria.

Whoa! Incredible pair of cards! Yes we somehow often reach for our floral stamps and have a go but rarely make the guys a card! These are absolute beauties! Great job adding to your stash!

Ohhhh, both cards are completely gorgeous and amazing, Maria! I do love a nature scene, so oftentimes these masculine cards appeal to me greatly, especially when they're so beautiful as these. Both scenes -- sunset and sunny sandy beach are fantastic! What a great stamp set!

Your sandpipers are wonderful, Maria! Each card has its own masculine style. I love your water colored sand scene, and your ink blended marsh at sunset. Thanks for joining us again at Twofer Card Challenge!

You've done a fantastic job of creating two manly cards, Maria! They are both really great designs; I love the rustic western feel of the first, and the beautifully colored sunset sky and sun on the second! Thank you so much for joining us again for my Twofer challenge!! (Great job with the double photo, BTW!) Hugs, Darnell

Two fabulous masculine cards, Maria ... the first is wonderfully framed and beautifully watercoloured ... and the sponging on the second is gorgeous ... rich, warm and bound to have the recipient feeling better! Thanks so much for playing along with us once more at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

Love how you've created two cards with a totally different look and feel using the same stamp. I, too, struggle with masculine cards but am hoping to do better this year. Your frame works great on your first card and the glow on your second card looks amazing.
