Hello dear friends: This week over at RETRO RUBBER, we have a very cool sketch challenge for you to play with, I think there are a lot of ways to interpret it so, go grab your OLDER THAN ONE YEAR stamp sets (we would love it if you can tell us the age of your stamp or how long you've had it😍,ok?) This challenge is dedicated to older stamp sets, those that we have neglected for a while, they need to be inked up and share and this is the perfect place to do it. Here is my inspiration card, made with a 2013 Flourishes stamp set called "Pinwheels and Popsicles".
I love all the images on this old set, they are fun, festive and lend themselves to be brightly colored like I did right here.
I stamped just the line where the lanterns are hanging with an old ink pad, just so I can see it and I could go over it with a gold gel pen, and the tassels with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder, onto a panel of Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and then, I stamped the lanterns again onto some water color paper with Stazon black ink because I wanted to water color the lanterns and fussy cut them for added dimension.
To follow our sketch, I cut very thin strips of card stock in the same colors as my lanterns and glue them under the image, I stamped the sentiment from the same set and added 4 Rhine Stones, also in the colors of the lanterns.

I repeated the colors on the inside too, I love the look of this thin strips of paper.
