On Butterfly Wings.....

Hello everyone: It's time for another SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge so, for the next week our theme is BUTTERFLIES. Here is my card that hope will inspire you to play along.

This butterflies were stamped with the retired Stampin' Up! set called "Papillon Potpourri", love it fro the beautiful images but also, because it has the coordinating punch for both sizes of butterflies.
I stamped the images on white card stock and sponged each one with a different color of distress inks then, I used Prismacolor pencils for the shading.
I punched them out and adhered them with glue dots to the card, the pattern paper is from a discontinued line from Lili of the Valley.
The sentiment is from my stash where I put them when I change my mind, they are very handy to have around, I sponged the oval with the same inks as my butterflies.

Vellum Golden Garden.....

Hello everyone: I'm sharing a card today with you for THE FLOWER CHALLENGE, this time the theme for this month is ACETATE/VELLUM.  I hope you come and join my teammates and me in our gallery, here's my card to inspire you to play along.

I choose to work with Vellum so I stamped this flowers from the Altenew acrylic set called GOLDEN GARDEN, I like the sketchy look on all of these images.
I grabbed a piece of pink Vellum and stamped the images with Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with White Pearl embossing powder from WOW.  I've been having a lot of fun coloring with my Prismacolor pencils so I decided to use them to add some shading and color to these flowers. After they were colored I fussy cut them and using a mask, stamped the greenery and berries on my panel, the sentiment is from an old set from Flourishes.

Here is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The decorative border is from a retired SU set called "Delicate Details", the flower is from the Altenew set and the sentiment from the Flourishes set.

A Prismacolor Azalea.....

Hello everyone: Lately, I've been having a lot of fun playing with my Prismacolor pencils, I'm getting more and more comfortable with them, I really love the way they lay on the paper, especially gray and Kraft card stock.  This card will be entered in a few challenges at the end of this post.

This beautiful image is from a Power Poppy set called AZALEA. I stamped the image on Ninah Smooth Desert Storm card stock with Antique Linen distress ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils, I wanted to try the No Line Technique on this One Layer Card.
The Butterfly is from my stash and it was stamped with Tumbled Glass distress ink, colored with Prismacolors and heat embossed, I hope you can see the shine, the word "Azalea" was also heat embossed but the picture doesn't capture that, I apologize.

Short Stack Birthday.....

Hello everyone: Hope you guys are enjoying the warmer temperatures that now are here in the upper Mid West, yesterday was a fabulous 86 degree day up here in Crown Point, IN., and we couldn't be happier, finally Winter is gone for a while.
So I have this card that I wan to enter into a few challenges at the end of this post.

This image is from the Power Poppy set called SHORT STACKS, these little Parakeets are so cute and come in all colors of the rainbow.
I stamped it with Stazon black ink on water color paper an colored it with SU markers and Prismacolor pencils, the pattern paper is from Lili of the Valley (retired) the birthday banner was stamped with the retired SU set called "Curly Cute".

I wanted to fill the space at the bottom between the pattern paper, to me it look like it needed like a bow or something so, I went to my little drawers where I keep charms, brads, etc. and found this one that says "Your Royal Highness", I think it's so cute and very appropriate for the birthday girl.
Here is a close up of it.

I think it's so darn cute.

A Mother's Day Vase Garden.....

Hello Everyone: Mother's Day is approaching so the SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge's theme is Mother's Day.
Here is my card to inspire you to come and play with my teammates and me in the gallery.

This image is from a very old stamp by Impression Obsession called Spring Vase, which was a gift from my dear friend Patti Willey many years ago.
I stamped this image with Stazon gray ink on gray drawing paper and colored only with Prismacolor pencils, I've been having a lot of fun with my pencils, I just love the look and texture you can get with a few flicking motions.
This stamp has a greeting that says "Happy Spring" but I just inked up the edges of it with a Soft Suede SU marker and a Tempting Turquoise SU marker for the flower, then I stamped the Happy Mother's Day using the greeting from the "Teeny, Tiny Wishes" (SU retired), the little flowers on the corner were stamped using a little image from Arts Impressions.
I went over the folded sentiment card on the panel with an aqua painter and a bit of water then, fussy cut it and glue it to the panel, I think it gives a really nice contrast to the gray background.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called BEST DAY EVER, the butterfly it's maybe from Penny Black, I lost the info on this set, I'm sorry.

So I hope you come to the SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge blog and join us in the gallery.

A cup of Roses.....

Image may contain: text

Hello dear blogging friends: The RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE, has a new one for you to play with and we are giving you this lovely picture to inspire you.
I looked up the word VINTAGE and there are several meanings, some refer to the process of picking up the grapes and making wine others say that the word VINTAGE refers to something classic or that was made some time ago, this definition is what I used for my card.

This image is from Our Daily Bread and it's 3 years old, love this sweet image of the tea cup full of flowers and that lacy napkin underneath. The little cameo on the right is from a stash of plain rubber stamps I bought from a blogger who was selling some of her older sets.
The background paper is actually a paper napkin, I saw THIS VIDEO and I thought it was really awesome so, I bought some pretty paper napkins with various designs to give this a try.  I was really surprised at how easy it is and how beautiful the results were.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The lacy border is from a retired SU set called "Delicate Details" that came out on February of 2017, the little cup image was a gift from my 20y/o granddaughter about 2 years ago, she found it at the craft store here in town.

I hope you hop over the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE BLOG to check out my teammates cards and get some more inspiration from their amazing designs.

Opalite.....

Hello everyone: My teammates and I at SHOPPING OUR STASH, have a brand new challenge for you to play with this coming week, the theme is "MYTHICAL AND MAGICAL" so go look in your stash of images for some Fairies, Unicorns, Gnomes, Dragons, Pegasus, Mermaids, etc. and come along and join us in the gallery.
Here is my DT card to inspire you.

This is another image from my fabulous stash of Fairy rubber stamps that my aunt gave me some years ago, she found them at a thrift store, in a cardboard box, dusty, all unmounted, play red rubber, with no names or any indication of where they were purchased, she bought the entire lot of about 25 stamps for $10.00 and gave it to me.
I love coloring this Fairies, all of them are beautiful and totally magical.
This one's name is "Opalite", I found THIS IMAGE on Pinterest and immediately pinned to my Fairies Board, it's rare that there is a name for this beautiful images, I tried to color her with more or less the colors of the picture, I used only Prismacolor pencils and paper stumps lightly dipped in Gamsol.

*******************************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from an old Flourishes stamp set called "Orchids" and it's my favorite to use for my Fairy cards. The butterfly it's I think from Penny Black, I lost the package a long time ago.
