Tissue Paper Dispensers.....

Hello dear blogging friends: It's time for a new theme for you to play with over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE, this one is USE A PREVIOUS CHALLENGE and that means you should go to the tab at the top of our page and see the different challenges we've had since we started and pick the one you want to play with, I hope you have fun and join us in our gallery.
The theme I chose was "Anything but a Card" which was our Challenge #15 for December 4th. 2017.
I had so much fun with this challenge, you can check my projects HERE and HERE and of course check both posts from THE FLOWER CHALLENGE HERE for the December 4th. 2017 and HERE for the reminder post on December 16th. 2017 so you can have some ideas and loads of inspiration from all the projects my awesome teammates shared on those dates.

Here are my projects for this challenge, hope you like them and come along to play, I made two because you can get make them out of one 8x11 sheet of cardstock.

As you can see, these are Kleenex dispensers for the travel size packages.  I saw THIS VIDEO and I thought these were so darn adorable and an easy and fabulous gift to give to teachers and coaches or just about anybody so, I hope you like them.

This first dispenser is decorated with pattern paper from Lili of the Valley (retired), the bouquet of Sunflowers is from a Power Poppy set called Sunny Harvest, stamped on watercolor paper, colored with SU markers and fussy cut. The sentiment is from another Power Poppy set called Olive and Oak Expanded.

********************************************************************

The second dispenser is also created using some scraps from Lili of the Valley, the center flower is from a Power Poppy set called Simply Camellias, stamped with Antique Linen distress ink for the No Line Coloring technique and colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Here is a picture of the sentiments.

So there you have it, hope this inspires you to come and play along with us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE , you can choose from any of the past challenges by clicking on the link at the top of the page, please remember to copy the logo of THE FLOWER CHALLENGE and the logo of the challenge you chose, explaining briefly which one it is in your post when you upload your card to the gallery.

Class of 2018.....

Hello everyone: Well Graduations will be taking place all over the Country in the next weeks so my teammates and I, over at the SHOPPING OUR STASH CHALLENGE have a great challenge for all of you who will soon need these types of cards to give to friends and family whose kids are graduating this year.
Here's the card I created for the son of my youngest daughter's friend from Church, who's celebrating this amazing accomplishment soon.

The request was to create a card for a young man, which is always really challenging, masculine cards always are but this one more so because this young man is 18 years old.
So I kept it simple, used the Hobart, Indiana High School colors which are purple and bright yellow and just die cut a hat, diploma and the words "Class of" and hand wrote the year on the punched out piece, added a couple of purple Rhine Stones and that was it.

*************************************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

Also, very simple with the sentiment from the retired SU set called "Perfectly Penned" and just a bit of bling with the fireworks from the Pyrotechnics set from
The Ton.
So I hope you get inspired to play along with us at SHOPPING OUR STASH, please visit the blog to check out what my awesome teammates have there for you.

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

TWOFER CHALLENGE #5.....

Hello everyone: Well, I'm a bit late with my cards for the Twofer Challenge #5 so I'm precariously flying under the radar with these cards but, the weather is really awesome and we've been enjoying it, that's my story and I'm sticking to it, 😉 so here are my cards to participate in this awesome and super fun challenge.

And here are the individual cards.

This one has an image from House Mouse called "Hummingbird Feeder", I masked the Hummingbird to add the butterfly die cut from the Stampin' Up! set "Watercolor Wings", the pattern paper is from Lili of the Valley and the sentiment from Flourishes.

****************************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of the first card looks like.

The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called GO WILD and the fireworks from a stamp set by The Ton called PYROTECHNICS.

*********************************************************************

Here is my second card.

This card has an image from another House Mouse set called "Fall Commuters", I only wanted this particular image so I covered the entire stamp with lots of painters tape, carefully inked the mouse and a bit of the stem of the leaf, removed the tape and stamped it on my panel, it was awesome to see I got the image perfectly stamped on the first try. After this, I sponged the sky, the grass, stamped the little flowers and the sign, then, I created the butterfly with the small image from Watercolor Wings.

**************************************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of this card looks like.

The sentiment is from two old Flourishes sets.

I would like to play with the following challenges.

Art Journal Journey "Flora and Fauna"

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge #194 "All Creatures Great and Small"

Pearly Sparkles Challenge #28 "Things with Wings"

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time,  happy stamping.

Tiny Clothes Line.....

RRCB 87

Hello everyone: Once again the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE has a fun and versatile sketch for you to play with, here's the card I made and I hope it will inspire you to come and play along.

It's been a while since I made a baby card so I went into my collection of baby stamp sets and found this one from Flourishes called "Hello Baby" dating back from April of 2012, this set has the sweetest images and sentiments for babies.
I stamped this cute clothes line on a die cut piece of watercolor paper with Stazon black ink and colored it with SU markers, I sponged the sky and grass with distress inks.
The sentiment is from another adorable Flourishes set called "Baby Love" stamped on a die cut banner from Spellbinders.  The little Rocking Horse came in a bag of baby buttons, I just snipped the back to be able to attach it with a glue dot to the card.

***************************************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from the "Hello Baby" set, and the baby rattle from the "Baby Love" set that came out back in August of 2009, I always bought my Flourishes sets right when they were available for purchase, didn't want to risk missing out on them.

I hope you come and play with us at the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE and make sure you stop by to see what my teammates created to inspire you.

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.

Picking Wild Flowers.....

Hello everyone: I'm back blogging after taking a few days off, I needed this time to get some things taken care of, my mind was not feeling creative, my MOJO was hiding somewhere so I figured that maybe I needed to step out of my craft room and recharge.
I'm here today with a card that I hope will inspire you to come and play along with my teammates and me at SHOPPING OUR STASH.  This week our challenge is "April Showers Bring May Flowers" so we want to see lots of flowers in our gallery.

I created this card with an image from a Power Poppy set called GO WILD.  First I cut a tag using the retired SU "Scalloped Tag Punch", I then embossed it using the SU "Filigree Frames" folder, stamped the image with Stazon black in and colored it with Sakura Koi watercolors.
The pattern paper and gold accents are from my stash. I also added a bow made with embroidery thread and a few Nuvo Drops, I saw THIS VIDEO BY THERESE CALVRID on how to achieve the best looking Nuvo Drops ever!! I've practiced and I think I have learned how to do this, the trick is, I think, on how you hold your Nuvo Drop bottle, the nozzle must be perpendicular to the paper where you will drop the liquid, hope the video helps you guys create these pretty embellishments easier.

**********************************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "Picking Wild Flowers", the little cupcake from a Penny Black set called "CUPCAKES".

I hope you come and play with us at SHOPPING OUR STASH, we can't wait to see what you create.

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time, happy stamping.

A Little Reminder.....

Hello everyone: THE FLOWER CHALLENGE has reached it's halfway point so, here's my second card for this challenge in which we're asking you to create a card using either Vellum or Acetate.
I created my first card with Vellum so, I wanted to give the Acetate a try.  After a few failed attempts at actually stamping on it, I decided to just create a window using it.  I hope the glare of the lights are not as noticeable, it was a real pickle to take this picture😕

I have this beautiful paper that I get when I buy stamp sets from POWER POPPY, Marcella Hawley always wraps the sets with this lovely paper and I save those strips every time, this one came in real handy as a background for my card.
The die cut flower is from a very old die set from Sizzix called "Flower Lily" but unfortunately it's discontinued😢
I used a piece of watercolor paper to die cut it and then, sponged the flower with Distress Inks and colored the stamen with SU markers. The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Dynamic Duos: Peonies and Tulips.

************************************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from another Power Poppy set called Sunny Harvest.

I would like to play along with the following challenges.

Dare 2BArtzy May Challenge "Dreaming of Flowers"

Make My Monday Challenge #71 "Hints of Summer to Come"

The Paper Girls Challenge #151 "Friendship"

I hope you come and take a peek at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE reminder post to see the gorgeous creations my teammates have to inspire you and then, come and play along.

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.

French Flower Cart.....

Image may contain: text

Hello everyone: Finally!!! Spring is Here!! (Hopefully to stay) and since after the April Showers come May Flowers here's the theme and inspiration photo over at RETRO RUBBER for you to play with this time.
My card is from "I Brake for Stamps" and it's called French Flower Cart, I love the beautiful flower pots and the fresh flowers in them. The cart with its umbrella is just so sweet.
This stamp dates back to 2015, I'm so happy I wrote the year when I bought it in the back of the plain rubber stamp.

I stamped this image on some watercolor paper with Stazon black ink and colored it with SU markers and Sakura Koy watercolors. The ribbon and twine are from my stash.

**************************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "Tulips for Friends"(bought it when it came out in 2013, discontinued) and the border on the top is from a retired SU set called "Bordering Blooms" from the 2014-2015 SU annual catalog.

I hope you get inspired to come and play with us at RETRO RUBBER, please don't forget to use at least ONE STAMP THAT IS OLDER THAN ONE YEAR and let us know how old is it, ok?
Also, visit my teammates' blogs for more awesome inspiration.

I would like to play along with the following challenges.
