Welcome Home.....

Hello everyone: I'm sticking to my 2019 resolution to use my old and dear stamp sets, it gives me true joy to look at them after not using them for a while.

This cozy image is from a 2012 retired Flourishes set called "On the Porch".
This wicker chair with its fluffy cushion and a warm blanket invites you to sit on your porch with a good book and enjoy a sunny afternoon.
The image is stamped on a lightweight watercolor paper with Stazon black ink and colored it with SU markers and Prismacolor pencils, then I fussy cut it and adhere it to an embossed panel of white card stock using a Tim Holtz EF. The pillow was stamped on a scrap piece of Lili of the Valley pattern paper and fussy cut, I added a Candy Dot for the button.
The little bird in the front and inside of this card and the flower pots are from another beautiful, retired SU set called "Scene in a Garden" from the 2009 Occasions Mini.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from another retired SU set called "Feathered Hope", all the stamps on this woodblock set have the year 1998 on the decals. I've used this set one other time only on this card. The year this set came out was way before I started stamping, it's the year my granddaughter Vanessa was born, she will be 21 this coming May so this set is 21 years old, talk about vintage.

I want to play with the following challenges.

With a fabulous sketch from Jaydee.

Thank you for stopping by, I sure appreciate your kind comments.

  1. Such a cozy chair I wish I had a porch absolutely would enjoy this cozy nook!

  2. There seems to be a lot of this going around (using our old stash) and you know I'm loving it. This chair is so inviting and pretty and you've given it the look of a front porch by using the brick wall in the background. I like the button tuft accent with the candy dot. Keep it up, Maria! So many good things in your collection!

  3. Looks like a cozy spot! Such a lovely card, Maria!

  4. How cute ! All you need is a good book ! Pretty colors !

  5. What a fun stamp set! I love you idea to use some older, yet favorite sets. I need to do that more often. Love the textured background and the fun colors you used. Thanks so much for joining us this week over at The Paper Players!

  6. Thanks for entering this nice card with little bird in our animal/birds challenge over at Craftyfriends.
