May Flowers.

Hello, everyone: As always, I hope you and your families are doing well, keeping each other healthy and safe.

********************************************************

It's time for a new challenge over at RETRO RUBBER, this is the mood board to inspire you to come and play along.

Here's my card, I left the front and inside without a sentiment, just so I can stamp one as needed.

This is the inside.

And this is what I used.

Power Poppy "In Praise of Sunflowers" (2016)

The Ladybug charm is from Stampin' Up!

I cut the bloom and the leaves from the flower, put painter's tape behind them to be able to fussy cut these pieces easily, then, I glue the big flower to the panel and glue these pieces back.

Thank you for stopping by today, your comments are very much appreciated and they always make my day.

Please stop by the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE BLOG for more inspiration from my fabulous teammates.

Don't forget that at least one of the stamps you use has to be older than a year, this challenge is dedicated to our older sets.

Until next time, stay healthy and safe.

Maria.

Sunflowers......

Hello everyone: I hope your Holiday celebrations were sweet and fun, I hope you were able to get together with family and friends and enjoy each other's company, ringing in the New Year.

I wish for you health and joy throughout 2022.

Welcome to our first challenge for 2022 at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE.
The theme is "Monochrome" so pick your favorite color in all its shades and come and play along with us at our gallery.
Here's my card, I chose a few shades of yellow because I think it's a very warm, sunny and cheerful color and since we're in the middle of a very cold January, looking at this vase full of beautiful Sun Flowers, just warms my heart.

This is the inside.

And this is what I used.

Power Poppy "In Praise of Sun Flowers"
Power Poppy "Dynamic Duos, Peonies and Tulips" for the front sentiment.
Stampin' Up! "Free as a Bird" for the inside sentiment.
Prismacolor pencils.
DSP from my stash.

I hope you find a bit of time to come and join my teammates and me in our gallery, we can't wait to see what you create.
Please read our rules, they are simple but important, and don't forget to make flowers the focal point of your cards.

Thank you for visiting me today.
Please, stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.

Hello Sunshine.....

Hi, there everyone: I hope you all are enjoying Summer, we certainly are.
So it's August, sheeesh!! half of 2019 is gone and now it's time for the new challenge over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE, our theme is "Use Your Favorite Flower".
This month we have a fabulous Prize from Michelle from Clearly Besotted who is generously sponsoring us, and it's a £20.00 E-card for one lucky winner.
There are some beautiful stamp sets, stencils and dies at the store so make sure you go and check that out.  And for more great news, the amazing Therese Calvrid is our Guest Designer for the month of August, she is one incredibly talented lady so go check out her blog Lost in Paper, to see what I'm talking about, her videos are simply fabulous.

Here's my DT card for this challenge, hope it inspires you to come and play with all of us in our gallery.

One of my favorite flowers is the Sunflower so I'm lucky I have this gorgeous image from the Power Poppy set called In Praise of Sunflowers.
Sunflowers are beautiful, with their big, smiley faces and bright, sunny colors, their centers that hold the seeds that are so yummy to eat and that also, attract birds, from the humble House Sparrow to Finches, Cardinals, Woodpeckers, Blue Jays and more.
I stamped this image on watercolor paper with Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed it then, colored it with Sakura Koy watercolors.
The pattern paper on the top is from Lili of the Valley (retired) and the "brick" on the bottom is from, believe it or not, some decorative backsplash, self-adhesive tiles that I found at Home Depot on sale, I thought they were so pretty and, since they are made out of vinyl, I thought they would look really awesome on cards.
What do you think?
********************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

Both the sentiment and the corner image are from the same Power Poppy set.

I hope you come and check out my teammates' creations at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE blog and then, join us in our gallery.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments always make my day.
Hugs.
Maria.
