A Beautiful Day.....

Hello everyone: I hope all of you are enjoying Spring in all its glory, up here it's been a bit chilly for April-May, we even had some flurries the other day, sheesh!!
My teammates and I have a fun theme for you to play with over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE and we hope you come and join us in our gallery, we want to see some embossing, whether heat or dry or both.

This beautiful flower is from the Altenew set called Peony Bouquet, I love these types of stamps that allow you to add shading and detail to the images.  First I embossed the white card stock with a retired SU embossing folder then, using the MISTI I stamped the outline of the flower with gray ink and leaving the stamp on the MISTI, I removed the panel to another section of the stamp positioner and proceeded to add the layers of color, the little bud and the leaves using a mask for the flower, when I was happy with how it looked, I placed the panel on the MISTI again and inked up the stamp with Versamark ink to stamp the outline on the flower again, then I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder, I sure hope you guys can see that.
The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Tea in the Garden and the little Butterfly from another Power Poppy set called Pure Prairie Spirit.
I added a few enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.
We have a sponsor this time around and it's ALTENEW so that means, there is a prize for our winner so, we all hope you will come and play along.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The border is punched with a retired SU punch, I forget it's name, I used two sentiments from a Power Poppy set called Daffodils and the leaf from the Peony set.

I hope you go to THE FLOWER CHALLENGE blog to get more inspiration from my awesome teammates' beautiful cards.
Please remember to include the challenge banner on your post when you upload your creation to the gallery and to limit your challenge participation to other challenges to 6, including ours.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments always make my day.
Hugs.
Maria.

A Little Reminder.....

Hello dear friends, today is our Reminder post over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGEand this is the card I created to inspire you to come along and play with us in our gallery.

The theme this month is for us to use our newest stamps or dies so I made this card using a spanking new Power Poppy set I bought last December called Pure Prairie Spirit, it has this amazing bouquet of wildflowers plus beautiful sentiments and a pair of butterflies.
I stamped it on a piece of light blue card stock with Stazon black ink and colored it entirely with Prismacolor pencils, I added a few highlights to some of the flowers with a white gel pen. The sentiment is from the set, inked up with markers.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

Stamped the SU Delicate Borders on top, the sentiment is from the set.

I hope you come by THE FLOWER CHALLENGE blog to get more inspiration from my awesome teammates, then join the fun in our gallery.
