Another Fairy for RRC #132............

No photo description available.

Hello everyone: I hope all of you are coping well with this new "normal", I know it can be frustrating and infuriating, and that's ok. but we must stay calm and focused on staying safe and healthy, we also must be patient and understanding and, most of all, we must obey the rules, they are there to keep us healthy so, NO complaining, just DO IT!!!!!!

Ok, the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE for the next 10 days is to use Squares on your card so I created a square base and layers for this sweet little Fairy.

I'm a sucker for Fairies, I just can't get enough of them, especially when they are babies, like this sweetie pie.
I stamped the image from a Penny Black stamp set called Fairy Sweet (released back in 2006) on a piece of Strathmore Bristol watercolor paper with Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed it, colored it with Windsor & Newton watercolor markers, then I went over the lines of the wings with a gold gel pen, I added some shading with Prismacolor pencils. The swirls on the upper corner are from a die called "Paisley Edge Dot & Drop Die" (Scrapbook.com), I bought it at Hobby Lobby in the bargain bin early last year.
*******************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Sassy Succulents that unfortunately is retired.

So I hope you are inspired to come and play along with us at RETRO RUBBER, please remember to use stamps that are at least 1 YEAR OLD and, if you can, please let us know how old yours are.

Thank you for visiting me today.
Stay safe and healthy.
Hugs.
Maria.

This is such a precious image and so beautifully designed with the flourish and pretty gemstone. I especially love that lady bug she's holding and how it opened it's wings inside the card - what a cute and fun accent! Have a great week ahead and stay safe!
