Sweet Memories.......

Hello everyone: Every day I pray that you and your families are doing well in these difficult times, please take care of yourselves and each other.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When my brothers, my sister and me were growing up, we had the blessing of having our maternal grandma moving in to live with us. When she arrived at our house and from that day forward, we all enjoyed her amazing baking and cooking, which had a big influence in my life, but also, her sweet disposition, her warmth and caring ways, her positive attitude and infinite patience, which was always present, especially when she was teaching me to sew, to knit and crochet, skills that I have now thanks to her. Those were beautiful years, with no Internet, hardly any TV either, we kids spent our days in school, playing outside, reading and being spoiled by our grammy.
This beautiful image reminds me of her bedroom, where I learned to sew, crochet and knit, wonderful memories of those years enjoying the abundant love of my sweet, amazing grandma.
I stamped the image from an old Flourishes set called "Stitched for You" on white card stock and colored it with Prismacolor pencils, I added a little Rhine Stone to the sewing basket for the loop on the lid that holds it closed. I can't remember where the flower die cut came from, it kind of looks like a Memory Box die.
This is the INSIDE of the card.
The lace border is from a Martha Stewart punch, the sentiment is from unknown origins, the stamp set is super old and I'm afraid I threw away the package.
The spool is from THIS STAMP SET from Stampabilities.
I want to play along with the following challenges.
#643 "Stitching"
Thank you for visiting me today.
Stay healthy and safe.
Hugs.
Maria.
This is definitely a very sweet remembrance of your grammy. She and my maternal grandmother must have been twins in another life for you described her very well. You were very lucky to have a wonderful grandmother that made you the loving, caring, creative person you are today. Thanks for sharing your story and your beautiful card. Enjoy your day!
Maria, I enjoyed the read as much as the card. Thank you for that! My grandma didn't live close, but her occasional visits were very special times. How wonderful for us to have grown up without the confines of smart phones and video games. I know we can tend to be nostalgic, but I'm remembering it as a beautiful adventure. Your card is so very colorful and sweet, with a beautiful design to showcase such a darling stamp. I love this!
Your memories, as well as your card image, have sparked my memories of time spent with my Grandma, learning to knit and cross-stitch! Love your card; precious and heart-warming! Thank you for sharing this gem in the Inkspirational gallery!
