Curtain Call for The Twofer Challenge.

Hello everyone: It's been a while since I posted anything on my blog.  I don't know about you guys but for me, having to deal with this virus and the confinement for over a year, has taken a toll on me, and now, we have a new threat, this variant is causing the hospitals to be overwhelmed with new people horribly sick and that is so sad, especially because this could be avoided if more people get vaccinated and wear their masks, this is a small price to pay in exchange for staying healthy and safe.

***********************************************************

As you probably know, The Twofer Challenge will be gone at the end of this month, it's so sad to see it go, this is one of my most favorite challenges, one that truly made us reach deep into the creative corners of our brains and come up with two different cards, for two different occasions using the same stamp.  I must say that, when I participated in the very first challenge, I got this totally wrong, but Darnell, who is one of the sweetest persons I know in blog land, lovingly and with infinite patience, guided me until I got it right, she is a gem.  I'm going to miss this challenge!!!!!

So, here are my Twofer cards to bid farewell to all of the amazing ladies on the Design Team, you guys inspired us for almost 4 wonderful years, this was one of the most creative groups of crafters, ever.

A Sweet Color Challenge........

Image may contain: possible text that says 'Retro Rubber Challenge #128 love is in the air! (use red, pink and white on your card) February 11, 2020 February 21, 2020 color challenge #rrcb128'

Hello everyone: With Valentine's Day just around the corner, the RETRO RUBBER challenge has this super sweet Color Challenge for you, I hope you come and play along in our gallery.

This beautiful image is from a 2016 Power Poppy set called "Everything's Even Rosier"
I stamped the image with Versafine black ink and, after I dried it with my heat gun, I colored it with Prismacolor pencils.
I wanted to have Pink, Red and White roses so I hope the ones that are supposed to be white look white. I saw a few pictures of white roses and they all seem to have a tinge of light green at the base of the petals.
The sentiment is from another Power Poppy set called "Natural Beauties"

********************************************************************
This is the INSIDE of my card.

The sentiment and petals are from the Power Poppy set.

I hope you come and play along with us at the RETRO RUBBER color challenge.
Please remember to use at least one stamp that is ONE YEAR OLD and if you know the year you bought it or when it was released, we would love to know.

Thank you for stopping by today.
Hugs.
Maria.

Hearts and Ribbon.....

Image may contain: text

Hello everyone: Well, Valentine's Day is almost here so my teammates and I over at RETRO RUBBER want to inspire you to create some pretty cards to send to those you love.  This time around we want to see you use ribbons on your love themed cards.  Here's my card and I hope it inspires you to come and play along.

This image is from a retired Stampin' Up set called "Take It to Heart" from the 2012 Occasions Mini.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Stazon black ink and colored it with SU markers and Prismacolor pencils. I found some heart-shaped doilies in my embellishment drawer that were the perfect size for my card.  The ribbon on the top is also from SU and it's retired.

*********************************************************

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment and the token are from a Flourishes stamp set called "Token of my Affection.

So come along and play with us, check out the RETRO RUBBER challenge blog and be even more inspired by my teammates' creations.

Thank you for stopping by, I sure appreciate your kind comments.
Hugs.
