Hello dear friends: It's midway to our "Embossing (Heat or Dry)" Challenge over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE and this time around, Altenew is giving away a beautiful stamp set to one lucky randomly chosen winner so, I hope this card I created using the gorgeous "Recollections" Altenew set, will inspire you to come along and play with us in our gallery.
I stamped this beautiful spray of flowers and the sentiment on black card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder then, colored the flowers with my Prismacolor pencils.
I added a few enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.
When I took the picture, the sun came out and it cast that beautiful, diagonal shine on the card as I was focusing the camera, I didn't want to move and I took the picture quickly because there are some clouds rolling in and I didn't want to miss out on this cool effect, it kind of looks like I sprinkled Pixie Dust all over the card but I didn't, although I wish there was a little Fairy hiding somewhere in this craft room doing this when I'm not looking.
**********************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.
I have this very old but pretty set of punches from The Paper Studio and I used the one with the butterfly to punch the corners on the inside, the sentiment is from the Altenew set.
I hope you go and visit us over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE and join us in the gallery, remember Altenew is donating a gorgeous stamp set for one lucky winner. Here's a picture of it to get you all excited to play along.
Please remember to use FLOWERS as the main focus on your cards, including our banner on your blog post when you upload your creation to the gallery, no back linking, please link back to our challenge on your post and you may enter up to 6 other challenges but, most of all, have fun creating.

Gorgeous! These flowers look amazing against that dark backdrop.
Just beautiful! I love how much color saturation you were able to achieve even on the black card stock! Actually, it is showing as a really yummy dark dark satiny chocolate on my monitor (yum!). It looks great with all of the bright tones of the flowers. Isn't it funny (annoying!) how matte black card stock hardly ever shows up as black in pictures?!
wow Maria, your card has such great visual impact, so elegant too.
xx Karen

Your flowers positively glow, Maria. I have to do more of the pencil coloring on dark cardstock.
Wow, Maria, this is so gorgeous! I thought it was some kind of metallic card stock, but it's the sun doing its magic trick. So lovely! Your flowers are absolutely beautiful embossed in gold on black with the pencil coloring. I really need to try this. Always inspiring! Thank you!
Oooo - that is so cool. Such a pretty card. Great embossing and I love how the sun came out to shine on it like that - magical :-)
