Little Mice Twofers.

Hello everyone: As always, I hope and pray you and your families are doing well, taking care of each other and wearing your masks.

My husband and I went to get our first Covid-19 shot last Thursday, he'll be 67 in August, I'll be 70 in September.  That afternoon we experienced a slight headache, the injection site was a little painful but, all things considered, we felt ok.  On Friday, our arms started hurting a little more but not to the point to take any pain killers so we just didn't move them too much, we rested and had a good day. Today, the injection site is less painful so we are grateful that we didn't experience any other side effects.  We go back for our second shot on April 14th. We got the Phizer vaccine.

**********************************************************

So, I have a pair of Twofers that I want to share with you today.

***************************************************
The first one is a birthday card.

This is the INSIDE.

***********************************************
This is my Twofer, which is a Thanksgiving card.
I made it in a slimline layout to fit all the adorable little mice.

This is the INSIDE.

*************************************************
And this is what I used.

First card.

My Favorite Things "Harvest Mouse". I masked the barrel this mousey is carrying and replaced it with the fussy cut wrapped presents for the Birthday card.
Colored it with Prismacolor pencils.

My Twofer.

I stamped all 5 mice from the set plus one of the sentiments for the front panel.
The mouse that is carrying the barrel of cranberries has one that is kind of jumping from it so, I inked this berry again to make it look like more berries are falling, the last mousey is looking down so I figured he needed to look at something so he is looking at the fallen berries.
Stampabilities "Happy Thanksgiving", for the inside sentiment.
Prismacolor pencils.

I had fun creating these cards!!

I want to play with the following challenges.

I used the mouse carrying the barrel of berries twice on the birthday card and then once on the Thanksgiving card.

I chose FUR.

Thank you for visiting me today.
Stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.

Something Old, Something New.....

Hello dear blogging friends: My teammates and I over at SHOPPING OUR STASH
have a new challenge for you to play with that I'm sure you'll like.  This time we want you to use something very old and something very new on your cards.  I know for a fact that all of us have a bunch of old stamp sets, die sets, paper, etc. in our stashes and, I also know that most of us got some new goodies from Santa this past Christmas, so lets play with all of this stuff and join us in our gallery.
Here is my card, hope you like it.

I've been waiting for the chance to open this brand new set from My Favorite Things called Magical Dragons, which I've been after for a long time. I finally caved in and bought it just after Christmas and it arrived 3 days ago. This sweet little images are just about the cutest and I love them all.
I die cut a panel of Strathmore watercolor paper with a postage stamp die set that is about 2 years old, then I stamped my images with Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed them then I colored them using my Sakura Koi watercolors.  The clouds were cut with a die set that is maybe 3 years old and the sentiment, which is from the set, was stamped and die cut with a super old Spellbinders banner set and, with the paper still in the die, I sponged a bit of Broken Glass distress ink.

**************************************************************************
Finishing the inside of my cards has become a really great habit, it saves me a lot of time when I mail my cards.

The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Sassy Succulents, this stamp set made it's debut in May of 2014, super adorable little images.  The flourish and butterflies are just a few months old.

So we hope you ink up your brand new stamps and also, go dig out some old favorites and come and play with us at SHOPPING OUR STASH, we can't wait to see what you create.

Thank you for stopping by, I always read every single comment you so kindly leave on my posts, I want you to know I appreciate them more than words can express.
Until next time, happy stamping.
Hugs from Maria.

Don't Have a Cow!!! Three is Better!!...

Hello dear friends: I have a card to share with you this very, very stormy morning made with on of the cutest sets of critters I own.  It's from My Favorite Things and it's called The Whole Herd.

I mean, can this cows be more adorable?  I stamped them onto a water color paper oval die cut with Stazon black ink and colored them with Prismacolor pencils and Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters for the grass, Broken China for the sky and a bit of Spun Sugar for their cute little snouts.
The pattern papers are from a retired collection from Lili of the Valley, the sentiment from the set.
****************************************************************
Here is a picture of the finished inside of my card.

I just glued a scrap strip of the pattern paper and stamped the sentiment and the cow from the set.
