Autumn Fairy.

Hello everyone: As always, I hope and pray you and your families are well, taking care of each other and staying healthy and safe.

********************************************************

The RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE design team has a fun Tic, Tac, Toe grid, design by Jan Clothier that I'm sure you'll want to play with, so come on over our challenge page and get inspired by the cards of my talented teammates, we can't wait for you to show us what you created.

This is Jan's last post with us, it's very sad for us to bid goodby to this amazingly talented crafter, she's going to be sorely missed.

This is the Tic, Tac, Toe grid.

And this is the card I created to inspire you to join us, following the bottom row: "Something That Flies, Die or Punch and a Bow.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the inside.
Several years ago, I think it was back in 2013-2014, my aunt gifted me with a box of plain red rubber stamps she found at a thrift store, there were 25 in total, and all of them are gorgeous, this "Autumn Fairy" is one of them.
I stamped the image on a panel of vanilla card stock and colored it with Prismacolor pencils, I added some gold to the design on her outfit and boots.
I used an old stencil to create the background, my intention was to create the illusion of distance, I hope I achieved that.
The inside sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "Orchids", (2011) and I only use it when I make Fairy cards, I think the words are perfectly fitted for them.
I used the "Modern Label Punch" for the sentiment. (SU retired)
I hope you come and check out the RETRO RUBBER challenge page and play with us, it would be really nice if we can thank Jan Clothier for all her years with us and to wish her farewell with a big turnout.
Don't forget that we are a challenge that encourages you to use your old stamp sets, those that we bought many years ago and are being a little bit neglected. If you know the year when you purchased those sets, we would love it if you tell us in your post, the stamps you use must be at least ONE YEAR OLD.
Thank you for visiting me today, your comments are greatly appreciated.
Please stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.
Happy Fall, Y'all
 Hello everyone: As always, I hope and pray you and your families are keeping each other healthy and safe.
**************************************************
Autumn is my favorite Season of the Year, the cooler temperatures are so welcomed after enduring some really hot days in July and August but, it's the colors we enjoy every year that makes me wait for it every day.
I have a card to share that depicts exactly what I mean.
Knitting Comfort.
Hello everyone: I hope and pray you and your family are doing well, taking care of each other and staying healthy and safe.
***********************************
I just love sketch challenges, especially when my teammate Claire Grantham, from the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE BLOG is the one designing them, this one is no exception.
Here's the card I created to inspire you to play along with us.
********************************************************
This is the inside.
My card is created with one of my most endearing images from a retired Flourishes set called "Stitched for You" (2012), I love this set because every single image reminds me of my sweet, amazing Maternal Grandma, she's the one who thought me how to knit, crochet and cross-stitch, I love her and miss her every single day.
The images on this card were colored with Windsor&Newton watercolor markers.
I created my own DSP using the Stampin' Up! set called Artistically Inked, I love the watercolor look of these stamps. I used the long one to stamp my paper using two different shades of green, I added some gold accents to the images with a small brush, I think it came out pretty good, don't you think?
Here is a picture of my DSP.
I'm having lots of fun with this awesome stamp set, I'm going to create more DSP using other color combinations, I just love the way it turned out.
So, I hope you come over and check out the RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE BLOG  and get more inspiration from my fabulous teammates, we can't wait to see what you create.
Please keep in mind that the stamps you use MUST BE OLDER THAN ONE YEAR, I'm sure that, if you are like me, you must definitely have older stamps that you just can't get rid of, am I right?😉😊
Till next time, stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.
