Blooming Pumpkin.......

SOS Headquarters

Hello everyone: My teammates and I at SHOPPING OUR STASH want to get you in the mood for Autumn, Pumpkin Pie, crisp, clear days with gorgeous colors on the trees, Thanksgiving, etc. so we invite you to come and play along with us over the challenge blog and share your cards featuring Pumpkins or anything that spells Autumn for you.

Well, the name of this challenge blog is SHOPPING OUR STASH and oh boy!! I totally did this to create this card.
I have a box with a whole bunch of nameless red rubber stamps, this one seems to have been attached to a woodblock that I most likely peeled off and discarded back when wasn't thinking of blogging at all. I regret doing this but woodblock stamps take up a lot of space, maybe that's the reason I did it.
I'm going to create more cards with using the stamps in this box, I think they all deserve to be inked up.
I stamped the image with Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed it, then colored with SU re-inkers.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is from an old Flourishes set called "Tulips for Friends", the flower from a retired 2006 SU set called "Reason to Smile", brought back in 2012 for a limited time.

I hope you get inspired to come and play with us at the SHOPPING OUR STASH gallery, we can't wait to see what you create.

Thank you for stopping by, your comments always make my day.

CAS Fun With CASual Fridays.....

Hello dear friends: My teammates and I over at THE FLOWER CHALLENGEhave a new one for you to play in the month of October.
The theme is CAS (Clean and Simple), which basically means there should be a lot of white, empty space, not many embellishments, and minimal layers.
Once again this month we have a fabulous prize of $25.00 for you to win that the fabulous Michele from CAS-ual Friday Stamps has generously donated, she also gave all of us at The Flower Challenge some of her stamps to play with for this fun challenge so, I hope you get inspired and come and join us in our gallery.
Here's my card.

I used the two flower images on this set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps called Mon Ami, the stems are also part of it.
I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with Pearlescent embossing powder, I used a set of Niji Pearlescent  Watercolors to color the flowers, the stems were stamped with Altenew "Forest Glades" ink.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment and leaf are from the set.

Best Friends.....Yikes!!!!!

Hello everyone: Do you still send Halloween cards to friends and family? Well, I do, even to my grown grandkids, (2 of them are adults already, sheeesh!!) they still get a kick out of them although it's getting harder and harder to create any kind of greeting card for my 18 y/o grandson.
Anywho, here's a card I will happily add to my Halloween stash and soon will be on its merry way to someone I love.

This card is created with a 2006 Stampin' Up! set called "Best Friends".
Back when this set was in circulation, I didn't know anything about card making, rubber stamps, blogs, etc. otherwise, believe me, I would have grabbed immediately. I started stamping maybe back in 2010 so I never knew this set existed until I saw a card on Pinterest made with one of the images, and then, the hunt began.
All I had was the name of the set so I went searching on I started searching for it on the Internet until I finally saw it on eBay and I bought it on the spot, I love it.
I stamped this sweetie pie and her friendly Bat on watercolor paper with Versafine black in and clear heat embossed it then, colored with some Sakura Koy watercolors. I wanted to give her a nice attire so I colored her hat and dress a nice orange instead of black.
The pattern paper is from my stash and so is the ribbon. The sentiment is from the set.

This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The sentiment is super old and I don't know where it came from, the spider is from a bag of confetti.

I'm playing along with the following challenges.

The Paper Players
I went with the horizontal line in the middle,
Orange, Die-cut and Halloween.
The dies are both the circle and the scalloped.

Just Fly......

Hello everyone and happy Football Sunday!!
The Dallas Cowboys are playing tonight and.....THEY ARE GOING TO TELEVISE IT!!! WOO HOO!!
Anyway, I have a card to share that I hope you like.

This beautiful butterfly is from a "The Crafts Meow" and it's called "Beautiful Spring", I think this company is no longer in business because I couldn't find it to share the link but it dates back to 2015.
I stamped the butterfly on watercolor paper with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Pearlescent embossing powder, then colored with Sakura Koi watercolors.
The design on the background is done using a stencil from Altenew called Splatters, I applied Texture Paste from Ranger and sprinkled with Diamond Dust from Twinklets.
The word is die-cut with white glimmer paper.
**************************************************
This is how the INSIDE of my card looks like.

The border is from a retired SU set called "Delicate Details", the sentiment is from a CAS-ual Fridays set called Mon Ami, the butterfly from a retired SU set called "Kindness Matters"

I would like to play with the following challenges.

Hello everyone: It's time for another "ANYTHING GOES" challenge over at RETRO RUBBER, which is a favorite since you can create whatever you want keeping in mind that at least one of the stamps you use is OVER A YEAR OLD.
Here's my card that I hope inspires you to play along.

I embossed the green panel with a Tim Holtz "Alterations" EF, the leaves were stamped on watercolor paper with the retired SU set called "Vintage Leaves" (2015-2016) colored with SU re-inkers. The lacy frame is from a Spellbinders die set called "Oval Majesty", I added some enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs. The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set called Feeling Fall, I heat embossed it in gold.
